Thought to be an ex Redline Unit
This appears in every respect to be ex Redline No 38.
The bull bar was a later post-Redline addition.

Re: Rex Law's Redline Coaches

There were 22 air conditioned units, the motel opening in 1967. In 1983, this establishment (by then named the Inland Motel) along with the four others at the rock, were all compulsorily bulldozed on Federal Govt orders, leaving absolutely nothing to show they ever existed. Such was the way the hard...

Re: Rex Law's Redline Coaches

Thinking about it, the vehicle in Industry's photo can only be ex-Redline No 22, which is quite historic, being the first of a long line of rear-engine tour coaches built by Alan Denning. It was the last delivery from his original factory site on Annerley Road opposite the Red Brick Hotel , before h...

Re: Rex Law's Redline Coaches

Industry it seems 68 underwent a lot of modifications after coming from Redline. Looks like a complete re-skin along with a revised front. The upper air intakes for the Jet Air ventilation system were mostly shrouded as seen on 68, to reduce the insect intake factor, along with water in heavy rain c...

Re: Rex Law's Redline Coaches

BTW, regarding the previous post's reference to the change to side-air induction, this had the effect of providing extra seat pitch, thus extra passenger leg-room due to the absence of the internal vertical rear corner air ducts. Without the ducts, the rear seat could now be positioned further back,...

Hi Industry, This was Redline No 57, the very first r/e Denning build to feature side engine air intakes rather than an upper air scoop. Since 2008, the number of passenger miles spent on express intercity buses, such as Megabus and Boltbus, has increased by about 2 billion miles. Additiona...

Mexican Coaches

I recently came across some images of what I assume to be Mexican constructed coaches and buses.
There is a range of 2, 3 and 4 axle variants, and I have no other information due to my lack of Spanish lingo.
I've attached an example, a rather impressive looking 12 wheeler.

Re: Mini Bus Service From Adelaide to Albury: Who Ran them?

I can't help it....for some reason this reminds me of the little operation Freddy Carah ran in 1960 between Brisbane and Lismore, which he called Richmond Valley Coaches, using a couple of 5 pax Fairlane Ranch Wagons. I can remember him giving me a go at one of these barges in Brisbane one day.... I...
