Re: 2017 Train & Bus timetable changes

It is a worrying thought that changing trains at Strathfield might be "challenging" for students. I have noted in the TfNSW "standard responses" templates, that not stopping at Redfern speeds up BMT services, but for some CCN services, an extra stop added "does not cause any significant delay". I a...

Re: Northern Beaches BRT: B-Line to transform Northern Beach

So did anyone personally catch this service today? How were the run times?
From what I saw on the real time apps, earlier services were anywhere from 8-45 minutes late.

Re: Private Observations - November 2017

I was just looking at the 611 services going to Blacktown and noticed they are all running 20 minutes early on the real time apps.

Is there seriously so much slack in the timetable that services are able to operate so far out of normal schedule?

Re: NSW Railway Observations - October 2017

There were T1 western line express services running from Blacktown to City Circle again this morning, but there seems to have been a change after the 10:55am T1 express to City Circle with BMT services now running to the City Circle as 4V

Re: NSW Railway Observations - October 2017

So today there are express T1 trains running between the City Circle and Blacktown (theoretically) but in practise are running as express to Penrith and according to crew, this section of the trip is a passenger run. The station announcements are all stating these are Blacktown terminators, but the ...

This sounds like the flexilink service in Brisbane where it is operated by Maxi Taxis and they operate in "roam zones".

Got a question:
When a train is approaching the platform and suddenly stops and makes a loud hissing sound, what is that about?

Re: NSW Rail Observations - June 2017

Another slightly odd observation tonight, at Central around 11:30. A very old-looking train pulled at at platform 17, with the indicator saying "Glenfield via Granville". Can you actually get to Glenfield via Granville from Platform 17 ? Sounds like the S set i got on the cumberland line from Black...

Just taking a look at Jetstars domestic routes in New Zealand and noticed they have started using Bombardier Dash 8 Q300 planes.

Have they taken over some domestic routes from Air New Zealand?

Malindo Air flights to/From Brisbane

As of March 31 2017, Malindo Air, part of the Lion Group, has started operating flights between Kuala Lumpur and Brisbane via Denpasar using Boeing 737-800's. As of early 2017, there were plans to rebrand Malindo Air as Batik Air Malaysia, but this has currently been put on hold. https://www.ausbt.c...
