Run W534 endud up overshooting westmead station by almost an entire train length.
Guard said it was "mechanical failure" but train went from track speed into emergency braking, no braking before the station was even attempted by the driver.

Got a report from somebody travelling on the IWLR bustitution that Transdev was running single door buses that were having a lot of problem dealing with the crowds. Normal tram patronage was also well down. It's well time for TfNSW to not approve any more single door buses in the Sydney, Newcastle ...

I obersved this afternoon a Volgren Optimus white demo unit with Busways stickers on the bus, fleet number 7004 on car plates. Not being in TNSW livery and being white certainly made the bus look like a Busways retro livery. It's the demo bus, Busways have 3 optimus in the TNSW livery Sent from my ...

Re: Use of Back Door on Buses
Busways drivers are also usually reluctant to open the back door unless it's at the final stop.
Head office just has the excuse of it being "drivers discretion".
This isn't good policy when you have 4 prams and a bus full of standees

Noticed on nextthere app that there is a service running between Strathfield and Parramatta as run number 731. Instead of programming "not in service" or "special" on the desto boards, why do drivers programme the destination on non revenue services?

Re: [Australian] Mike Baird buying new trains off the rack
Seems this would be the first Electric Double Deck train for Hyundai Rotem as the 3 types of DD trains they built were for the american companies that are diesel hauled.
They have only built single deck electrics.
