Re: Admet 2024 timetable changes what can we expect

Well, if these 15 diesel/hybrid buses are for service increases and cost $19m (which probably includes the additional service running costs, as well as the capital cost of the 15 buses), a lot of money will need to be found/set aside for the 30 or so buses at Aldgate/Mt Barker, whose operational li...

Re: Admet 2024 timetable changes what can we expect

I'd recommend the 461 and 462 to be merged into one route, this would allow a increased frequency and night service for the Munno Para West and Angle Vale area. Maybe at night introduce a Roam Zone service running from Smithfield to Angle Vale.

Re: 2023 SA Transport observations

The Volvo B8RLE i.e. 2451 is what should had been chosen for the Adelaide Hills and Southern suburbs not the Scanias especially when you have steep inclines such as South Eastern Freeway and Southern Expressway. 2451 doesn't struggle as much as the Scanias.

With the 450 the 3:15, 4:15, 5:15, 6:15 and 7:15 services will be dead running back from Riverlea as there is no 450 departing Riverlea after 2:49.

Re: Public Transport in Adelaide at a cross road

Rann had some good ideas for public transport projects which could of boosted public transport patronage, sadly many projects stalled (i.e Gawler Line Electrification) or were abandoned (i.e Coast to Coast Light Rail)

Re: [Jan-Jun 2023] SA Transport observations

Mainly seems to be removing trips from the timetable that haven’t been run anyway. I do notice 2 new round 835 trips between Mt Barker and Lobethal in the middle of the day though. Interesting...you'd think they use the bus kilometres for weekend services instead of extra interpeak services. Also n...

Re: Modified timetables due to COVID impacts

More than 106 bus routes will reportedly be offline until at least the end of February due to a driver shortage. Transport Minister Tom Koutsantonis spoke with Matthew Pantelis.

Tom Koutsantonis wants Torrens Transit to resolve the issue by end of February or Torrens Transit will be penalised

Option 1 is best in my opinion. Option 2 could make many 232s late especially when freight trains and passenger trains come through Dudley Park.
