Re: Mercedes 1316 Custom Coach Body - Side Window Window Sea

For the lower fixed pane section off memory is a single rubber. you need to remove the slider windows then undo the screws that hold the window track in to be able to remove that glass

Re: 1936 Titan double decker

It will have a worm drive diff which needs an additive to protect the brass crown wheel. You can just fill it with an 80/90 diff oil to get it moving but then change it out later. Engine oil needs to be a mono grade 50

Re: Old Bedford Bus

Try and post up a pic of it when you can. Also a chassis number and old rego can help too.
It was bodied by Athol Hedges as your plate states so more than likely would have been operational in QLD, but some were built there and then sent to other states to run.

Re: Leyland Atlantean 680 Torque Converter

The fluid flywheel is fed from the gearbox oil supply, so if you changed the oil then found it burnt again it could be remnants that didn't come out on the first flush. You could have band slip in gear but if your saying it doesn't always do it then the other thing is air supply to make the gear ban...

I think you will find they are body builder specific, not a Mercedes part. So you will probably need to try and find another bus to rat parts out of

Re: Leyland center door upper guide

So you have the bracket with a post on it mounted to the door still, then you just need the guide roller. Probably wont buy one off a shelf, might be better/easier/quicker to buy some round nylon length and turn a hollow up the centre to sit on the post.

Where are you located / Where is the coach located?

"What's it worth as a running registered bus"?? - Simple answer, Its only ever worth what someone is willing to pay. It might be rare but bus land is not like car land where you can base a price off what the last 50 sold for at auction ect ect

Re: starting issues - MAN SL200

Not familiar with those specific ones, but other makes/models often have a rear safety switch on the engine door to stop the bus starting while someone is working on it. Could you have possibly disturbed this, or opened the rear hatch and not shut it properly?

Re: Raising TAG wheels on 1988 Tourmaster

I thought they were fitted with tag dumps as standard. I was told to use it when performing tight turns to reduce the amount of tearing on the tag tyres

There are the valves (taps) fitted also but they stop the air being supplied to the bags during maintenance

Re: Urgent advice needed - Airbrake fault

Its hard to tell from the photo, I know its not an easy place to get pics from. But id say its a relay valve or quick release valve. Either way, the next thing to try is remove the foot brake air lines at the boosters then release the handbrake and see if air comes back through the ports you have ju...
