Re: Private Bus Observations 2021

So now totally south of the Georges River which means that it is totally in region 10 so why is Transit Systems still operating it?

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7

458 moved from Region 7 into Region 6. I am wondering if the next step is to split 410 into two routes (in Region 6 and 7 respectively). https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5a668f1080bd5e34d18a7e76/t/6009f595fef835601b8eb18c/1611265439095/20419_TS_R6_network_map_20210124.pdf That has been discus...

No timetable on Transport Info today for route 458. Maybe waiting on the new version for tomorrow mentioned a few days ago.

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7

I would not call it deceptive.
For the first few years the timetables were regularly tweaked to tune then to requirements without having to issue printed timetables to cover such changes. However the changes were included in the then 131500 timetables and trip finders.

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7

Note the new timetable for route 458 is https://transportnsw.info/documents/timetables/16-458-Ryde-to-Burwood-20210124.pdf and showing the operator as Transit Systems, still contains the 16 prefix for STA region 7. There is a problem in the system that they can not have two timetables for the same r...

Re: Parramatta Road Bus Fire

It is not as straight forward as at. It depends on the terms of the lease. In the case of car leases which may be only short term the user does not have to maintain but in the case of long term leases like it is for the buses, it is a different story.

N80 and N81 going to STA on 24 January - new timetables from that date but the timetables up to that date no longer show. We will have to wait and see what the new 333 timetable will show as it is not available yet. The new N80 and N81 timetables now show Hillsbus instead of STA and timetables up t...

Re: Sydney to Melbourne Maglev via Canberra

Up to 2.6billion???? You must be joking The Berlin proposal for Magliv in 1997 was 4.6 billion plus 2.6 billion = 7.2 billion for 283 km which would translate to close to 20 billion for Sydney to Melbourne. So if your estimate of 10 times since then would be about 200 billion today.

Re: Sydney to Melbourne Maglev via Canberra

In the case of your proposal it may be a case of a lot of supply but little if no demand. So certainly no balance if that is the case.

But what you propose does not solve any of it. Economics have proved that over the years.

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7

Also routes 977 and 987 are wrong - they are not new services - the extra services started last Monday and have nothing to do with 24th January, This is confirmed by new new timetables on Transport Info as well as new timetables I have checked at route 977 stops last Sunday also dated 11th January.

The timetables for that do not appear to be available as yet. And they are not region 7 changes.
