Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
saw 1385 at the back of Toowong depot (next to 1294) and still with W logo. i presume this bus loan to toowong (does toowong still send their 12xx CNG to garden city) or they stop sending their CNG to GC (since the volvo/volgren contract end) (because i heart that they want to make toowong full die...

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2022
I heard from a friend that they saw a bus that had been involved in an accident on Newnham Rd last night near the Link Rd intersection. Would anyone happen to know which one it was?

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
How is it that 1201, 1202, 1210 and 1213 are still in service (according to brisbanetransport.info)? I doubt that they got given extended life so it doesn't make sense to me as to why they haven't been withdrawn.

I haven't seen artics being used on P179/180 services in quite sometime (last time I saw one on those services it was one of the B8 artics). It usually the tags that I see being used for these services.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
How many more B8s will we see come out of this batch? I just assumed they were stopping after 100 at 2900. I remember reading somewhere last year of council's commitment to X amount of buses introduced each year (equivalent to 60 standard buses?) but I can't recall where or what the figure was. The...

T2895 parked at Volgren today - with decals but no rego plates. T2895, T2896 (rego XQ 11 NQ) and T2897 (rego XQ 14 NQ) at Volgren today. Artic XQ 04 NQ also there without decals. B8 rigids are starting to be made again? Guess that means MAN 18.310 CNG withdrawals will be starting up again soon, mos...

Most of the 1200s no doubt. But if they are being installed how come none of the high 1300s, 1400s or 1500s have the barrier yet?BT Enthusiast wrote:They did install them, I have seen lots with them. But since most are being withdrawn I think there's no point

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2020
Aren't BT suppose to be installing driver barriers on the 18.310s similar to those seen on the B7s/B8s/B12s? Since hearing about it I have yet to see any 18.310s with it installed so I wouldn't know for sure if they are installing them or have abandon them all together.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
So would the Scanias being withdrawn early (mainly in regards to the younger ones) be because of the CNG compliance? Or something completely different?

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2019
When was the age limit for how long buses can stay in service for BT changed from 21yrs to roughly 15yrs? Surely must be sometime after the Australs were withdrawn as they were the last ones to make it to 21yrs.

How is it that 1280 only allows rear door exit? I always thought you can exit a bus from either the front or rear door.

Re: Brisbane Transport Observations 2018
The shields are likely to be rolled out across the fleet. S5100, S2003 and several of the new B8 artics have the barrier installed. As I understand it, all new buses should come with one of the two variants of barrier designs installed. I see. I'm assuming the Scanias won't get it since they are in...

Re: Brisbane Transport Observations 2018
On B7 S2000 I noticed a glass/plastic shield on the door that is on the drivers side. Is this new at all or do other buses in the fleet also have it? The reason I ask this is because it's the first time I've seen something like it.
