"The next tram to Glenelg is busy, I better catch the tram to Botanic Gardens instead!"
Surely the usefulness of this feature on the platform only comes when you can see more than one trip on a given route.

Re: HISTORY of ADELAIDE - BUS, TRAIN & TRAM ROUTES
The "Via Route A" etc were the most meaningless, confusing and pointless destinations ever created. They replaced suburb names, many of which were outdated either through the suburb changing its name or with the route extended beyond those original suburbs. Commuters knew, for instance, t...

Re: Revisiting the Reimagined Adelaide Bus Network
Thanks for the various pieces of feedback received. I have put together v2.0. The following lists the updated/amended routes. Of note, reintroducing a service to Dunrobin St, including a peak service via Morphett Rd. Peak X600 will now be an L600 providing a limited stop peak service to the city fro...

Re: Revisiting the Reimagined Adelaide Bus Network
Loops would work because you would combine two popular services into one and yes it would run both ways. Your not going to please everyone. It would be for example: Elizabeth Station - Davoren Park - Smithfield Station - Elizabeth Downs / Park - Elizabeth Station (and reverse!) It would help people...

Re: Revisiting the Reimagined Adelaide Bus Network
I'm not sure the demand is there for a freeway service between Stirling/Aldgate and Mt Barker. The slightly longer 864 (or your 84) works well, and only takes around 10 minutes longer. I think it would be more beneficial for Mt Barker to have their direct freeway service all day, and for the Go Zon...

Re: Revisiting the Reimagined Adelaide Bus Network
Hi Westside I think you’ve done a great job here - a good network with reasonable compromises. A few points on the Hills area - the 83 to Mt Barker would be better used going direct on the freeway from Crafers at all times - as a growing region and much larger town than Stirling/Aldgate, the go zon...

Re: Revisiting the Reimagined Adelaide Bus Network
1. That is a good solution. 2. There are traffic lights that enable the 263 buses turn right into Diagonal Road. Dunrobin is a long Road, too far for many people to walk to either Diagonal or Brighton Roads. 3.Buses from Flagstaff Hill/Aberfoyle Park connecting on South Road definitely wont work.As ...

3 areas I highlighted in last years plan, and still not covered 1. Portrush Road has no service to the City from Glen Osmond to Burnside Village (currently 140/144) This area Has 2 schools and is reasonably well patronised. 2.Dunrobin Road Hove currently has 2 Routes 263 ans 245(am peak hour service...

Revisiting the Reimagined Adelaide Bus Network
I thought I'd see if others had any plans like I have, for revisiting the much-maligned overhaul of the Adelaide Bus Network. Overall I found it to be quite positive, and just needed a few tweaks here and there to fill in a number of the gaps it left. So with my time at home, I went to task adjustin...

Westside, while I applaud the effort you have gone into in producing these maps for your proposed Outer North contract area, this is not the place to post them. Feel free to create a topic in the forum Armchair Operators & Fantasy Networks http://www.busaustralia.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=71 Th...

Re: Current Bus Contracts/Renewals
Thanks. :) The map is made by taking Admet's original map and using my very limited photoshop skills over the top. It's just lines and squares at a high res, but they look ok when zoomed out at that height. Yeah, my idea is around fewer routes that connect through the main stations. Rather than dump...

Re: Current Bus Contracts/Renewals
Given the drastic changes to other contract areas. I was thinking about what a significantly overhauled Outer North area would look like. There's no reason the Outer Suburbs don't deserve high-frequency routes too. I think there are also a lot of routes that can be consolidated to make this happen. ...

Re: Consultation on new AdMet Network
Anyone important read these forums? I’d like to see “Route 237” reintroduced extended to Tea Tree Plaza as sometimes it’s a hassle with the 361 it doesn’t always connect when you need it. That thought goes against the mantra of the new network, which is fewer routes, less duplication but higher fre...

Well no considering I've never looked into anything to do with it. I wasn't sure if it was one big City Council like Brisbane or multiple councils like Melbourne or Sydney. I was just making a suggestion. Soz. I just noted you were from Brisbane. Adelaide is split up into multiple local council's l...

Re: Major weekend track closure - Southern lines
Cool, thanks for the suggestions! At least the Altandi option is timetabled, so there is a level of reassurance assuming the GC trains still run to timetable for the VL to Yeerongpilly section. And the 140/130s still run every 15 mins on weekends and seem pretty fast, so that's not a terrible option...

Major weekend track closure - Southern lines
Track closure for all southern lines next weekend. https://translink.com.au/service-updates/231291 My question is, where does one go for more information about the substitute buses? Ie a map, route description or a timetable would be great. The lady at Central said there would be buses leaving centr...

I haven't read the plans in detail, but does anyone know if regular buses will still use the upgraded busway (even just in parts), or if the busway will become a banana bus-only right of way?

Re: BUS ROUTES TO BE SCRAPPED IN DRIVE FOR SAVINGS
Speaking of short services, if the 150Ps were removed, this would free up a bit of funding for the 333s to return. Surely these are even more useless given that they only operate to reduce not in service running. They must have been implemented by Labor as a result of them possibly being persuaded ...

Re: October Bus Timetable changes
What is this obsession with connecting rail/bus services so close to the city? For many people, you would need to get from where you are in the city (Hutt Street, Central Market, South Tce for example) to Adelaide Railway Station , wait up to 15 minutes for a train, then get off and get a connectin...

The old 333 and 336 routes used to integrate will with the OH train both at Glanville for LeFevre Peninsular sections and at Ethelton for the Semaphore Park/West Lakes Shore sections. Eventually these routes were split, redirected and some sections cut entirely. Only the 333 between Osborne and Glan...
