For enthusiasts of old buses from Adelaide

This weekend (15-16/10) the National Rail Museum at the Port are holding an event : Trains, Boats & Planes - Transport Festival Actually that title doesn't do full justice, as there will also be 5 former public transport buses on display. The Tramways Museum are sending down a trolley bus. There...

The Coober Pedy photograph. That bus isn't a Worldmaster. It's an AEC regal Mk IV

Re: Closed Railway Lines

Regarding the former rail station at Reynella, the Wiki article you read isn't completely accurate. The bus interchange isn't on the site of the station, but beside it. old photo here. If you step from a bus at the interchange, and walk east , crossing the commuter car park, and through the pine tre...

The service was implemented for the benefit of workers, and so only ran during peak hours of weekdays

The last STA service between Dry Creek and Port Adelaide was on 29/5/88.

Interesting photos. Thanks for posting. I'd guess the photo was circa 1976. Actually, the bus fleet and depot at the time of the photo were owned by the State Transport Authority. Bowman's fleet and routes had been acquired by the State Government in 1974. The evidence is on the bus. Even if the STA...

As a keen enthusiast of British Buses, I have just come across this thread.

Can anybody give me a brief summary of how many Lodekkas there are in OZ at the moment ?

Any webpage suggestions would be appreciated.
