Bear in mind that four rigids from the hills are on loan to Torrens Transit, so even with lower passenger loadings, they still have less rigids than normal available to send out.

Re: Rare and interesting car sightings

I'm not sure if it's compensating for the loss of V6, or just bringing it in line with the American version which already had the new four cylinder engine and eight speed auto.

Re: Rare and interesting car sightings

The Magna that I had before the Camry was the Sports version, with extra power over the standard Magna and a five speed auto in place of the four speed most Magna variants had. The Camry is certainly more fuel efficient than that, however it isn't significantly better on fuel than the TH Magna wagon...

Re: Rare and interesting car sightings

I happen to own a Camry in the current shape, with the non hybrid four cylinder. A decent enough car, but I do miss the V6 power that the Magnas I owned before it had to offer.

1353/4 are or were at St Agnes, possibly providing parts for other NL202s.

K230s 1403-1406 were originally numbered 1290-1293, until it was realised the rest of the K230s wouldn't fit into the 12xx range. There were also some 149x K230s, which got renumbered after being transferred to SouthLink.

The only artics in route service in Adelaide with two doors are 3331, with 71 seats, and the Busways CB60 L94UAs with 69 seats. The CB60 L94UAs have a twin leaf front door and single leaf centre and rear doors, and 67 seats. The CB60 Evo II K320UAs have 3 full with doors and 59 seats. The K320UA and...

Re: Scania/Custom Deliveries

I was riding an NL202 diesel recently, and one passenger remarked that the bus was old, and would probably break down at some point. Hell, one day about 6 years ago I was at TTP waiting for a 560, and some old woman complained that a "bloody old bus" (NL202) had shown up. Are those random ...

The guy who did it is a Spanish national, and his visa expires in December, so he doesn't really have to worry too much about the coming "months/years to come".

Re: Scania/Custom Deliveries

You're right, 1046 to 1082 is 37. 1083 and 1084 are in service now too, so that makes it 39, and there's at least one more new unit currently sitting at Scania. The figure of 400 new buses was from the old contract that the Labor government signed, the newer contract signed by the Liberal government...

Re: Scania/Custom Deliveries

The contract also says that there'll be 29 rigids per year, and so far this year they're at 38 rigids. Maybe some of the artic orders were converted to rigids, or there's been a variance in how many buses get delivered each year. Either way, I think we'll be waiting a while for new artics.

It's possible that despite the contract featuring 50 artics, they may not necessarily be delivered on a yearly basis.
