Re: Trailerbus
Even people talking endlessly on the phone can get you to move to a quiet carriage in a train but although you are a bit trapped on a bus perhaps you could go upstairs/downstairs to avoid it on a double decker. How would you sound proof a double deck bus If the noise appears to annoy people the bus...

There should be a rule about decibel level when it comes to passengers with Bluetooth speakers and other non headphone/ear pod methods when it comes to listening to music as one persons type of music wouldn't be everybody's cup of tea Even people talking endlessly on the phone can get you to move t...

Re: Faster Trains to link Canberra and Sydney
If oil reaches $200 a barrel connecting Parrahub to Melbourne may have to pay tax if it earns over 10%. https://capital.com/will-oil-hit-200-what-effect-would-that-have-on-markets#:~:text=Oil%20at%20%24200%20per%20barrel,the%20global%20economy%20into%20stagflation. Re: Trailerbus
As there would be CCTV cameras to show police even if they sat there like little angels when the police stopped the Trailerbus it would all be on tape. Yes drivers are different, but I doubt a driver would switch on the blue light unless they saw trouble brewing and they could always switch it off ...

Re: Trailerbus
Not quite sure what you mean but the Opal reader could either be at suburb stops like the tram or on the bus and would be checked by inspectors. As it would be frequent main road runs I cannot see the driver having any problem remembering the route. Don’t forget CCTV everywhere and a blue light the...

Re: Trailerbus
As the Trailerbus can easily take wheelchairs and bikes nobody would get stuck at a station when the rail fails.

Re: Trailerbus
There are advantages and disadvantages with owner drivers but do people think it would be a good idea with the Trailerbus? After watching Sabine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNBLhGsjHQI I think most people will use electric bikes and leave the petrol car at home so they will definitely need the Trailerbus to get across town.

Re: Trailerbus
These trailer buses would need to be placed on permanent set number of routes so the driver can get his/her head around where all the turns are then that would include trailers with real time passenger tracking that would note how many passengers are on board at anytime and real time alighting and ...

With so many wheels the electric Trailerbus has a range of 1,000 km plus twice the capacity of any other bus while taking bikes etc. if we are prepared to stick our neck out a tad we may be laughed at but it may be a goer time will tell. Regarding split shifts like this bus driver who pulled the pin...

Re: Parrahub and Sydney to Melbourne Maglev via Canberra
If 30 separate companies spend $2b each to connect Parrahub to Melbourne via Canberra and Albury then I believe it would be fair they do not pay any tax until they earn a certain amount per annum but it would be up to the federal government how much that would be to encourage investment. By having t...

Re: Faster Trains to link Canberra and Sydney
Connecting Parrahub to Melbourne via Canberra and Albury would be just as expensive these days even though it would be driven in two years it so it really is up to the Australian population if they want it or not.

Yes,some people like the slow train but do not waste any money on making it a bit faster because the 700 km/h underground one will never get built and China is ready to make high tech stuff with the unemployed graduates now.

Re: Width & mass rules limiting electric transition in EVC report
Looking at Eddy's crystal ball I see. The Australian bus and truck/trailer industry being protected by keeping the 2.5 meter wide rule. Freight going between big cities at least 1,000 km apart in containers to be taken from the freight siding to customer with electric semis. 1,000 km range electric ...
