Anybody who drives a car, truck or bus know how annoying bikes are on main roads.
If buses can take bikes so many people who cannot drive due to age or affordability can get to where they want.

Re: The Motoring Thread- for the motoring enthusiasts here
I am thinking about getting someone who does dashcam videos on YouTube to do one around the Parrahub site of Church, Boundary, Inkermann and Landsdown streets. If anyone is interested please email me at mistereddb@gmail.com Nobody has responded to me so is there any advice for making a dashcam vide...

It takes all kinds to make a world and while some don’t want to risk their career perhaps others who call the shots have aphantasia.

Re: Parrahub and Sydney to Melbourne Maglev via Canberra
Got a reply from Phillip Laird in Melbourne at the moment and as we both want to get rid of trucks and planes between Sydney and Melbourne now it is very, very profitable connecting Snowy 2 with HVDC cables even as far as Brisbane to Melbourne something may happen in my lifetime.

Re: Parrahub and Sydney to Melbourne Maglev via Canberra
Eddy, Your concept of Parrahub may be alive! The announcement of the new Sydney Metro West and demolishing of Rosehill Racecourse to accommodate 25000 houses has been announced. Perhaps you could now get funding and approval to move Parrahub to Rosehill hub. This may avoid some issues (that I see) ...

Re: Parrahub and Sydney to Melbourne Maglev via Canberra
Parrahub to Melbourne via Canberra and Albury makes $2b p/a with container trains, $2b p/a with daytime trains and $12b p/a with HVDC cables connected to Snowy 2 and will only take 3 years before a return. Parrahub to Brisbane should be next below the Parramatta river via Newcastle but where else ? ...

In response to stajourneyman on another thread where I was deleted because I was way off thread.
Obviously you need your car but don’t you agree if people put their bike on a bus it would be easier for those who need a car and truck/bus drivers on the main roads.

Re: West Connex Interchange Abject Failure.
Despite searching the www, I can’t find any clear information on the merging of lanes between Viccy Rd and the new tunnel on the outbound. Prior to the opening, I’m pretty sure that Victoria Rd outbound comprised a bus lane and two general traffic lanes, with two outbound lanes from the tunnel exit...

America used to avoid hospitals and schools so ISIS hid in them but Russia just bombed them in Syria and killed the survivors with poison gas. Most people think an eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth is the right to defend oneself but it has been pointed out to me that is the maximum response so Is...

Perhaps it may not happen in my lifetime or in Australia but as with nearly 30,000 views maybe a country that is not too proud to try it will give it a try.

Re: West Connex Interchange Abject Failure.
Why would a bus forum be discussing a road project not currently used by buses? At least not until today's SMH article. Although Sydney is not as bad as Melbourne most people who live in Sydney would like less cars and more affordable bikes which can easily be taken on a Trailerbus so as not to be ...

It is easy to blame the previous government for teething troubles but I doubt the Libs will get credit for the rail line under the harbour.

HVDC cables with 100% p/a profit in the British tunnel made me think HVDC from Snowy 2 could earn $12b p/a in the Japanese SC maglev tunnel connecting Sydney to Melbourne but it did make me wonder if they were doing an Enron. HVDC cables. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JH9-0AbR_1U&t=2s Enron ri...

Re: New tax in place of compulsury super
I read that while the fed wants compulsory super to make more money it is embarrassed at how much they are making out of gambling. Better to just can compulsory super and replace it with a 10% tax so the government can use the money better. https://www.agr.org.au/agr-media-releases/new-analysis-show...

Eddy, You are correct in saying that a referendum was held for the Tunnel funding - in fact, some research shows that in 1992 (the year of this referenda) the Swiss had 19 separate referenda questions (held on 4 separate voting days). The Swiss concept of referendum's is very unique (and quite citi...

Re: Parrahub and Sydney to Melbourne Maglev via Canberra
Because the Parrahub building is designed for older residents who sometimes are mobility challenged it could quite easily allow disabled people to share a four bedroom unit with their own ensuit.

Watching the drum about disability and as Opal cards are only checked randomly and some disabled people have doctors or sport commitments how about if they catch the Trailerbus near their home to work when they are available.
