Only today posters appeared around Bondi advising of timetable changes "to better reflect traffic in the area"

I might have been mistaken, but I was just passing through Central Walk & saw something new posters being installed around Platforms 26/27. With the opening date of 5th May.

Re: Rail Observations 2024

Since just after 7pm, trains have been at a standstill on the T4 due to urgent track repairs somewhere between Sutherland Station & where the Cronin line branches off. Trains are going now, leading to interesting frequencies. 2 trains currently timetabled to go to Kiama are under 10 minutes apar...

Other governments have been the same.
Recently, a tender for a new fire station in Canberra required one of those NDA's. Whilst the floor plans were made available to the public showing everything in detail through the planning department.

It was only in December that the Task force was asking for feedback on Eurobodalla bus services. I'd assume other regional regions have been asked for feedback only recently, too. So it all will take time.

Especially at staffed stations. No doubt the unions will push for a new speed limit of 5k/h whilst the guards door is open instead. You have to remember the same CCTV equipment used by every railway DOO, buses ferries, trams/LRV around the world, apparently doesn't work in within the NSW Intercity n...

There's a perfectly looked after peg around the corner on Clio Street. But no special markings & no different to what can be found elsewhere in The Shire & Campbelltown & probably elsewhere in Sydney. There's a heavily rusted sign at a bus stop on President Street, Sutherland. But I keep...

Re: Timetable Changes 2024

I think the alert should have mentioned that As the alert says plan your trip with a link to journey planner. I doubt many T4 passengers have any idea as to the usual T3 frequency. Painful as making two changes may be, it can be a real slog getting in and out of Central. Presuming that services use...

New T4 rail replacement bus services. All running between The T4 stations & Sydenham Station. South Coast rail replacement still go to Central. Challenge is to get to Sutherland & take an express bus/coach. In May, T3 & T8 (ex Macarthur only) terminate at Sydenham due to track work. Too ...

PSDs aren't going to solve the double decks' dwell time and internal passenger distribution issues. I mean what would you do? Shut the doors after 30 seconds and let the crowds who couldn't make it on board increasingly block up the platforms and up the stairs? And trains leave loaded with less tha...

U-Go are advertising for casual rail replacement drivers. Whilst still advertising for permanent drivers separately.

I wonder if they'll be running the upcoming rail replacement for the T4 next month.

Whilst short-lived, at least those at Sydenham will be guaranteed a seat in peak hour. Which will definitely be a first.

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown

If there's an issue on the Sydney Trains network or trackwork, what's to stop them diverting trains to terminate at Bankstown or Sydenham or North Sydney & direct passengers to the Metro? Same if there's an issue on the Metro network.

And if a bus is caught speeding or running a red light, what becomes of the driver? I haven't ever seen or heard of a bus being pulled over by cops mid-service. In the last year or so there was dashcam footage of a bus going through a red light in front of a Police car & getting pulled over jus...

That would encourage people to run res lights & not stop.

I'd remove it all together & just quadruple all traffic penalties. It'll encourage greater enforcement & those who break the law can pay the price.

It is also a shorter dead run from Hoxton Park to & from Leppington & Carnes Hill.

Why build another satellite depot, when you have one down the road.
