Are you sure its owners didnt drive it home to SA from the trip as it hasnt been seen in UK as far as we know since 1976?

This is indeed UK bodied, looks like one of the ex-Plymouth examples new built in the 1966-72 period imported more than 30 years ago .

Its a joy to see such an original looking well cared for Leyland National, a strong contender for the best preserved example of the breed in Australia.Not too many rivals that I can recall except one in Melbourne and the ex-Surfside one in QLD.
