Re: Political discussion

Like it. While on convents, many years ago at work I had to ring a convent at Riverstone.
I tried a few times daily for nearly a week and no one answered.
Did some research and found out it was a silent order !
Sent them a letter.

Re: Political discussion

I could never understand why my father was happy when he heard Churchill had died yet the parents of other kids in the street where I lived were down in the dumps and sad. Eventually I understood the dislike among 'Eastern European' nationalities for the handover of a huge chunk of Europe to a commu...

Re: Private Bus Observations 2021

Looking at the Fleet Lists today I notice Busways Pacific have taken delivery of 20 Volvo B8R's with Custom Adventurer bodies this year.
Have found ABC magazines bus sales data over the same period as totally unreliable for Custom Denning sales.

Re: Blue Mountains postcard.....autumn 2021.

My observation of the TNSW contractors and the TNSW livery is that pride for the fleet and livery musn't come into the contract calculation. I see examples of paintwork and bodywork that is behind with 'maintenance', seeing more tape being used to keep pieces stuck on for longer before finally havin...

A few more images, it has been a quiet time on this page:

A bit of a cheat with this first photo, it was taken in St Mary's, but reasonably close to the Blue Mountains.

Blue Mountains postcard.....autumn 2021.

Hope you enjoy my selection of photo's from the last few months across the Blue Mountains. Just outside of Springwood is a bus shelter that makes a tribute to local artist George Finney and a train 'The Fish'. George Finney lived at Lawson where he died in 1987. Re: Tasmania's own Redline. 18/4/21

I'm trying to identify that last vehicle #68.
Is that a reinvigorated Autobus body with Csepel chassis (previously had engine fire and deregistered).
Doesn't appear on Fleet Lists yet but #68 shows on withdrawn lists some years ago.
#67 & #69 are both Csepels with Autobus bodies.

The Palestinians don't want compromise. They want Israel gone, that's their goal, and we know Israel won't grant that "request" hence the never ending tale of conflict. And Israel wants compromise ?? Telfords in Sydney acquired 5 Volvo B8R's with Custom Adventurer bodies late last year - TV5277; 5278; 5292; 5296; 6375. They were on Fleetlists and I checked today and there's only one TV5278. Anyone know what's happened there ? An error or have the other 4 been moved to other parts of the Kinetic ...

. mo497 the Custom CB80 bodied Volvo B12BLE is still in its full Hopkinsons livery with Kiama Coaches accreditation. Funny how you never forget some numbers. When I worked there in the mid 1980s, MO 497 was an old Bedford driven by an English guy called Ted. His surname wasn't Gormley by any chance ?

Hope the local media in Townsville shame the pupils and highlight the school they attend.
Private schools tend to be very touchy about misbehaviour of their pupils reaching the media.
But then they'll also be 'legends' among their peers.
I don't condone their actions, but at least it was only flour.
