Brings back some memories of rail travel in my younger days. Looks like original windows except for one side of the rear carriage.
Thanks for posting.

Re: Ex Grayline Cdi sitting at Kangaroo Bus Lines depot yard Burpengary QLD

There was only the one as a touring coach - Bustech CDi of Australia Wide Coaches Alexandria ( ex TV 7730) operating in Gray Line livery. It mainly worked the daily Blue Mountains tour from Sydney back in "the good old days".

Thanks captainch for that info again. Yes, Mrs Warren was the ladies name - I wonder if Warren Rd in Marrickville has a family connection or just coincidence ? I remember you giving this information years ago and also the photo's you posted. If I do a search through here I'm sure they can be tracked...

A photo attached to the Queensland discussion post under 'Kangaroo BL' shows what might be the ex Australia Wide Bustech decker in the Kangaroo BL yard. Still haven't seen any verification of where it ended up.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020

Just found the answer by looking up their fleet lists. All 3 are shown at Heatherbrae as C48FTL being registered on 16/7/2020 and in 'new Busways' livery. Congrats to the moderator of the lists on such a quick update.

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020

While on Busways I notice from the ABC Magazine Bus Sales date for July that Busways have taken delivery of 3 Volvo B8Rs with Irizar bodies and reclining seats (49 seaters). A new area of operation (after many years out of coach charter) or an existing service ?

I'm hearing 39 Cathay Pacific aircraft will be arriving and parked at Alice Springs by the end of August. Apparently 5 Airbus A320's passed through Darwin yesterday 12 August with another 6 due today. Elsewhere its been posted that up to 100 aircraft from various airlines will be there by the year e...

What's one big difference between Australia and China ? ..............I would have thought tolerance and free speech, however loopy some ideologies may appear to some. Agree re people purposely getting around restrictions, but we have created the 'me' generation(s) - what can you expect !!

Re: The last manual route buses in Sydney

While not strictly meeting all the criteria for this post (route bus & Sydney), still running in Katoomba is BM Transit 3774 MO, a Volvo B10M Mk IV with Volgren CR221 body of 12.1999 which has a traditional manual transmission and operating on school runs. I assume its twin at Valley Heights 3752 MO...

Re: Kinetic Group fleet changes.

My point being that while this is called Kinetic Group fleet changes, the Queensland moves dominate here by far - obviously a more enthusiastic bunch of spotters. Any change to the other operations (eg Telfords) could be easily missed by the sheer volume of Queensland updates. Just a thought !

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020

I read somewhere about the de-registered taxi's, not sure if 'dumped' is the right word, but article certainly referred to lots of them about. I'd forgotten about the taxis so wasn't looking for them in my drive and can't say I noticed any. Another observation was all the rental car holding yards ar...

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020

I drove past Murrays Mandible Rd depot in Alexandria yesterday, and as boronia states elsewhere, it certainly struck me how many vehicles are parked with no rego plates attached (I suspect majority). Drove past AAT Kings depot nearby and the sheds are all locked up with I assume coaches inside and t...

Re: Locomotive CLP12 'Casper' and CLF3 'Space Ghost'

From what I can find online (sorry I'm not much of a rail enthusiast), in mid 2019 Southern Shorthaul Railroad (SSR) acquired locomotives CLF1, CLF3, CLP9, and CLP12. I captured CLP12 some weeks ago passing through Katoomba in its all white garb and named 'Casper'. Today in the same spot (but from t...

Thanks for posting that piece of history. A very nice restoration job although I'm not too sure about those blinkers on the front. By the items in the background looks like the beginnings of a small museum of some sort. A very new looking shed as well. Is this something open to the public or a priva...

Yes I saw that in the paper today. So here I've been most of my life singing along to the 'age of Aquarius' thinking I was progressive, original, and humanitarian, when really people were seeing a know-it-all, unforgiving and condescending Capricornian !!. Where's the valium !!!

But another operator has now overtaken them with a total of 8 Denning Landseer deckers - although their latest additions not yet regi...
