Re: 25/10/2020 Bus service changes - Inner West

Is it being operated as a loop service? In via Bathurst and out via Druitt? I honestly can't tell from the network map. When the timetables are released, we will know. According to the new route maps for 25/10, 503 services will operate as a loop upon arrival at Town Hall, using Bathurst Street EB,...

Re: December Bus Changes - Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore

Will be keen to see the new network map once it's released - the changes around introduction of the B-Line in late 2017 was a good attempt at cleaning up the region's complicated network.

Re: 25/10/2020 Bus service changes - Inner West

When they're talking about terminating the 413 at Railway Square and encouraging people to change to the light rail for the CBD isn't that a bit of a large gap? Is there no way to get it through Rawson Place? Does anything from the inner west actually terminate at Railway Square? I think all of the...

Re: Extra Covid 19 services

In my neck of the woods, the 550 is operating on a roughly every 7 min frequency in both directions from just before midday to 3pm-ish which was somewhat unexpected as the offpeak services never really got full except if the one before or after was late (they normally go to 15min freqs in offpeak o...

Re: Parramatta light rail

From today (4th July) Church Street between Factory Street and Victoria Road was closed to vehicular traffic to enable the commencement of Light Rail construction. As a result, Hillsbus and STA routes were diverted to connect with and utilise the parallel O'Connell Street before resuming their usual...

Re: STA Observations 2020

I have also seen desto files loaded for similar changes to be made in Region 7. This includes 500X Parramatta Limited Stops and 500X Circular Quay Limited Stops, which I would presume would replace the M52. I don't know when those changes are being made. It would seem as if all limited stops and ex...

As a result of Tuesday night's storms, Carlingford Road between Carlingford Court and Orchard St, Epping was blocked by fallen trees for much of yesterday (Wednesday) morning. Macquarie Park-bound route 550 (and likely some 630) services were diverted via the Epping-bound routing of route 546 (Dunro...

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020

It's good to see routes like the 389 providing links from the city to Pyrmont, filling the service black hole. The Pyrmont to Town Hall section of route 389 was originally the remainder of Route 443 which ran up George Street to Circular Quay prior to the October 2015 overhaul of the CBD bus networ...

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020

I've noticed an unannounced, but notable change to the Pyrmont end of route 389 since last Sunday's service changes to region 6 - instead of Pyrmont bound services running direct via Pirrama Road and terminating at the Maritime Museum, they now make a right turn at Jones Bay Road, left Pyrmont Stree...

Looks like the 410 will continue operating between Marsfield (Waterloo Park) and Hurstville after 9 February, with the Hurstville-Burwood and Burwood - Marsfield short workings remaining, along with some oddball short workings, e.g. Mon-Fri: 16:35 ex Hurstville to Top Ryde 16:59 ex Hurstville to Con...

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020

I'm guessing that the two routes would overlap each other. Hurstville to Rhodes and Burwood to Marsfield. The numerous bus stop removals relates to Sydney's Bus Future 2013 and the TfNSW / RMS Bus Priority Program. Or maybe Hurstville to Concord Hospital and Marsfield to Burwood (Railway Pde) - sin...

The route 535 timetable is now available https://transportnsw.info/routes/details/sydney-buses-network/535/23535 and it will be operated by Hillsbus, Wow, only every 20 min during the off peak. I guess it won't have much chance of growing patronage in anticipation of the new LR line! At Carlingford...

Caught Y's 3484 on route 550 from Carlingford Station to Macquarie University this morning around 07:45 - apparently this service is one of a rare number of non-accessible services timetabled to run the route. This vehicle bore the brunt of heavily-loaded patronage along the southernmost portion of ...

Remnant routes that can be rationalised

The Parramatta-Bankstown via South Granville section of current route M91 was originally 910 prior to February 2011, with the route being merged with the Bankstown-Hurstville 948 to form the current M91. I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole route would revert back to 910 come the eventual opening of...

Timetable adjustment Route 619 will be changed to operate during weekday morning...

No doubt those passengers now use the Cumberland line to get directly to Parramatta? Yeah, in some cases, it would be quicker to travel from Granville to Merrylands (T2) and then interchange Merrylands to Parramatta (T5). Or, if you'd prefer an alternate one-seat journey to Parramatta, there is als...

Re: Remnant routes that can be rationalised

830 seems a reasonable candidate if T80 is ever renumbered in the similar way that T70-75 were renumbered 730-735 in May. 800, 810, 820, 840, 850, 870, 880 and 890 are all in use for other routes.
