Re: Surfside Buslines

In NSW, there is now a requirement for all school buses in rural and regional areas to be fitted with seatbelts, with is why I imagine Surfside has ended up with the Volgrens. If Bustech can't do low floor buses with seatbelts, I honestly wouldn't expect to see anymore Bustechs ordered for the NSW o...

Is it being operated as a loop service? In via Bathurst and out via Druitt?

Hey Guys, Stupid question (I know) But When are the delivery for STA picking up? They haven't had anything new come since pre pandemic! Not a stupid question at all, but I doubt anyone can really answer the question in full unless they know commercial in confidence information. There are many rumou...

Re: Where is the main terminus for Sydney bus routes?

Bus routes in Sydney don't really have a singular main terminus. As a city of 5 and a half million people, there are many major interchanges throughout the city that have a significant number of buses operating through and terminating. There is a large focus on buses travelling to the Sydney CBD and...

Re: 158 Bus Route?

The bus that operates the service appears to operate a popular 188 inbound and 180 outbound service before the 158, and goes on to operate a popular school service afterwards. I think it must have just been added into the artic shift because thats where it fits. Not sure of its history or why it has...

Re: New bus network arising from CSELR (L2/L3) opening

The next round of the changes to the bus network arising from CSELR will occur on 25 October as part of wider changes to the Inner West network. Routes M10 and M50 will be effectively discontinued without replacement in the eastern half, with the trams and other bus routes expected to take up the sl...

Re: 25/10/2020 Bus service changes - Inner West

It really is the second of what I expect will be many smaller adjustments to the network in relation to CSELR. We had a return to High Street in August, now cut of the M10 and M50 in October. I expect changes to keep happening in small lots each time there are wider network changes. My understanding...

Re: New bus network arising from CSELR (L2/L3) opening

:!: How long does that drive take in the peak ;) I know the drive is quicker than the tram, as I catch a bus from Coogee to Town Hall each morning and it takes between 25 and 30 minutes depending on traffic. Until such a day that there isn’t a bus between Coogee and the CBD, I won’t catch the tram. ...

I wouldn't be willing to put any money on anything from the leaked plan actually being introduced. They seemed a bit spooked by the immediate swift backlash from the leaked plan and on last check, have promised actual community consultation on any changes before they occur. I don't expect them to pu...

The 3 STA CRBs are still in regular use. They have completed 14 trips between them this AM Peak across the 324, 360, 379, 380 and school runs. They have also been operating 379s and 400s during the middle of the day and were sighted on Airport line rail replacement last weekend. All have body dates ...

Re: Private Bus Observations 2020

Yes, one could legitimately include them as a fully accessible vehicle (ignoring the top deck!). State Transit's fleet is 99.5% accessible. If you can roll a wheelchair or pram on board, then by the letter of the law it is accessible. Whether there are internal steps is irrelevant And most of those...

As the only dedicated bus exits from the tram lines are at Allison Rd northbound and Juniors southbound, I get the impression that services like 400 will not be able to use the interchange, and will continue direct along the normal roadway? Quite the contrary, ONLY the 400 will be using the Interch...

The access into the Juniors Kingsford Bus Way from ANZAC Parade Southbound is by using the right turn lane into Bunnerong Road (second from right lane at the Nine Ways). Wouldn't it be weird if this was the extent of the changes they made to the bus network as a result of the light rail. Its good to see the original routings for the 370, 400 and 891 reinstated, I wonder if they will do the 348?

Now to wait for the official announcement of change

The new configuration of Park Street since the resurfacing is great for buses! Stuff the cars, they shouldn't even be allowed on Park Street anyway. If it wasnt for the Anzac Bridge access from it, I'd call for them to be banned completely!
