Re: AES Ticket Validators
You need a base plate for the green machine. Then you can tap into/re-wire the wires that would connect the base plate to the bus' battery for power. It will make powering it up much easier. Thanks for that, at least it points me in the right direction for now. Would you be able to suggest anywhere...

Re: Any pics of Merc Mk4 2769 at the Mercedes Benz Museum in Germany?
I would assume judging by '3/94' that it was at the Museum in 1994, so based off that information it would have been about 10 years old at the time, and it appears to have been withdrawn at Waverley in 2011, so one can only assume if I am right that it was a temporary exhibit. Search "m/o 2769&...

Re: AES Ticket Validators
G'day, I have also acquired one of these machines, brings back many memories, and am keen to get it to work again both for personal reasons and for my year 12 major work in art. At the moment I'm trying to figure out how to actually get power into the machine, as the plug looks quite unique as you'l...

Re: Tragic Damage to a Rare Bus Model
I've recently had an issue regarding Australia Post with OZBus 20002 where they we're rough with it and the mirror was broken off so I told them that it had clearly been handled roughly so they asked me to bring it in for an inspection which I did and now they are refusing to give it back to me so I...

Re: Mr Bean's CDC Cardboard Models Working Link Please?
Sounds like you know what you're doing then, which always helps! I recently have started on a State Transit Volvo B12BLE Euro 5 Custom Coaches CB60 Evo II for OMSI with someone else and we have contacted someone to see if we can finish the models they gave up on. My email is sydneybusescb60@gmail.co...

Re: Mr Bean's CDC Cardboard Models Working Link Please?
That is a very fine idea! I'll have to find them, but it shouldn't be too long before I get them all together, and when I do, I'll email them to you. Only issue is that as the models are made by Jonathan Stewart (ATDB Username is Mr. Bean) so just because it's a good thing to do, maybe just check wi...

Sydney Buses for OMSI 2
Hello all! I have recently invested in OMSI 2, and I have downloaded Manly Map Act Two, can't wait for Act Three to be released, have downloaded the MB O405 for Manly, Enviro 200 for Manly, Enviro 400 for Manly and have got the B7L Wright Eclipse for Manly, and these are all very good, and I know th...

Re: STA Observations - November 2017
Noted this morning that 1599 (V) still has the fleet number in the Newcastle Font at the rear nearside (doorside). Also at V is ex m/o1514 from Willoughby with M accreditation still on it I was on 1514 this morning and noted that there was masking tape over the M on the Shift Plate with the tiniest...

Re: Deckers on T80 and M92 and others
Would it not make more sense to put the bendys on the T-Way routes? The benefit of using deckers has been covered in two threads now - seats! They should save the (three-door) artics for services like Bondi Beach and the 400. The Gong shuttle sure could use them too. Some of these services like Bon...

It's official - The newest addition to the Sydney Ferries Fleet is called "Ferry McFerryFace" according to a public vote. Looks like Sydney Ferries may be the source of a new meme in the near future. . .

Re: STA Observations - November 2017
Unsure if this is the case with other STA Depots but V and F have been cleaning their buses wheels to the point where they're that shiny you could use them as a mirror or headlights on a sunny day. At first it was just the artics that were getting this done but then all the standard guys joined in. ...

Re: STA Observations - November 2017
Personally I think that a nice, loud, musical ZF is always nice, as demonstrated by the Scania K280UB CB80's and Volvo B12BLE CB60's and CB60 Evo II's. When the engine gives a little bit of a roar to the sound as well is always beautiful. My personal favourites would have to be the ZF 5HP552C Automa...

I'm not entirely sure that you can do this, but there's a program called Mobitec ZEdit and Mobi Info Edit (MIE) which you can do that stuff with, but try printing out your destos, and you should be able to find the right link in the New Users and Questions section I think its called of the this Foru...

Re: Bus Model Purchasing STA m/o 4805 and STA m/o 3694
I've never heard of or seen OZBus 8101 m/o 3694 - I'd love to see a photo. As for 4805, I have seen it in Corporate V.2 but not TfNSW - Interesting. I can't help you though, so sorry about that. On the Transit Graphics website, 4805 is up for sale at $200 but its in Corporate V.2 Livery, not TfNSW, ...

4831 is now at Randwick as Randwick operates the 311 hence why 4831 was on that route. On another note saw 2108 Not In Service at Green Square heading to the City with an interesting desto very rare to see this bus other than along Anzac Pde. https://imgur.com/a/6Whtd I did see something bizzare sa...

Re: STA Observations - September 2017
Well, I seem to like those buses (Volvo CB60) a bit more now. They're a bit like the MF67 of Sydney - so many of them, yet also, so many variants with slight visual differences. My personal favourite is actually the oldest, the 15__ series. Very dim, often broken, lighting for a dark interior. Some...

Re: 2790ST in Maroubra 02/01/17
I have seen 2790 in that particular AOA a few times. You know what would be really ironic and kind of funny, is if someone caused 2790 to have an accident or incident because they were doing the complete exact opposite to what the AOA on 2790 tells you to do around and on buses!
