Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2021
I don't fault anyone here prior to squiddy 's post, however, to call people "forum trolls" for simply recommending research, and overstate said recommendation as a "rude attack" is, rather poetically, a "rude attack". I agree, not everybody has time to check, but please leave it at a simple apology ...

Re: Obscure & forgotten services/other - who remembers?
Interesting note on the 29, if anybody has the time to head up there: on Hospital Ave approaching the Aberdare Rd roundabout, IIRC there's a typical yellow bus direction sign for BUS (24, 25, 97 and 998) turning left, 950 u-turn, 26, 96, 103, and would you believe it, a route 29 turning right.

Re: PTA / Transperth & Private Observations - 2021
Again, as per usual, this is unknown to most outside the industry. Only time will tell which three will be prepared to be sent out. It might not be a 2100 or 2200 either, it could potentially be a 2300.

Re: Obscure & forgotten services/other - who remembers?
Thanks for the heads up subtekjr ! Some may or may not know that by adding an asterix to the end of the URL in Web Archive (e.g. ...transperth.wa.gov.au /* ) results in Wayback Machine showing an index to all URLS captured under that domain. Thus, by ending the metrobus archive link with an asterix,...

2538 has moved from Beenyup to Karrinyup, likely that few more of its ZF B7 brethren have also moved there to replace 2017-2023.

Likely they'll receive B7s from a metropolitan operator. Which operator, we're not sure yet.

Re: TRANSPERTH FLEET
Interesting... Any photos if so? I passed by there not too long ago and did see an all-white bus parked in someone's yard, but didn't think too much of it as it looked like an Ansair Tasmania body and figured it was probably an ex-Metro N113CRB... That being said, I haven't seen pictures of ex-MTT25...

Re: Sydney Metro - Tallawong to Bankstown
A question from a non-Sydneysider here, after looking at these projects... what is expected to happen to the remainder of the T3? That is, the section from Bankstown to Liverpool and Lidcombe. Will they remain as-is (i.e. Lidcombe and Liverpool to Bankstown) or will they be axed in favour of branchi...

Drivers (of any vehicle) who drive as if they have all the time in the world. Perhaps you do, perhaps you don't, but all I know is that I have another bus to catch within a ~1 minute window. Please realise that you aren't the only person on this road.

Not exactly unusual, however I was pleasantly surprised to find that 1845 was still in service as of yesterday; I thought it had been withdrawn around the time 3210 entered service.

Re: STA Observations 2021
The engine has almost identical power/torque output to a diesel O405 high-floor (240hp, can't recall torque). Mate that with a heavier low-floor body, capable of carrying higher passenger loads, and there's your ho-hum performance. So yes, underpowered for the task. Buses have certainly come a long...

Fleet Lists , perhaps worth noting that this is CDC Victoria group, not CDC NSW. The 601 express livery referred to here is used on buses on the Huntingdale Station - Monash Uni 601 express shuttle. Re: COVID-19 response
In addition to mandatory masks, Transperth have announced that during travel in the FTZ, passengers will be required to tag on and off as a contact tracing measure. The SafeWA QR code will be rolled out on CAT buses, meaning passengers will need to scan it during boarding. For essential purposes, al...

Re: Next generation railcars for Transperth
It seems to be available as 2160p (4K). I like the C-Series quite a lot now. I wasn't sure about it when it came out, but the design of the new train has really started to grow on me. Again, I did (and do still) want to keep the now-iconic Transperth trains seating moquette, however, much like the t...
