Re: Newcastle Transport

In which case Port Stephens Coaches, Rover Coaches and Hunter Valley Buses should also receive Newcastle Transport branding, seeing as they also operate within greater Newcastle.

But they won't, as this branding effort is a farce and consistency is too much to expect apparently.

What is even the point of this timetable redesign? Apart from making a previously well-designed layout now look god awful? :?

Re: Some Newcastle Transport photos taken over June and Nove

I absolutely loathe that stupid Newcastle Transport sticker they slapped on nearly all their buses overnight. Was that really needed on a contract operation? Hear hear!! It seems to be the government's fault, though. "Newcastle Transport" seems to be yet another useless branding effort by the gover...

Re: Newcastle Transport

believe that white background was just temporary till they could make the decal transparent. All buses have now been fitted with the Newcastle Transport logo and none of them have State Transit markings anymore, at least from what I've seen out on the road and that's a majority of them. So the Tran...

Re: Newcastle Transport

Can someone please explain to me why the new Newcastle Transport BCI buses are not in TfNSW livery? Newcastle Transport seems to have also covered over the Transport Buses logo with their own logo: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:2306_ST.jpg. How is this allowed??

Re: Parramatta light rail

I'm not aware that it has ever been explained what might happen to Birrong and Yagoona, or Lidcombe-Carramar for that matter. Two ridiculous shuttle services seem to be on the cards. The most logical solution to this mess (the Bankstown line metro conversion itself being quite illogical) is to brin...

Posting an image of the Poncho being used for the Punchbowl Bus service since I don't think anyone else has done so on this board yet. Taken from the top deck of a Bustech CDi and apologies for the poor quality, I'm really not a photographer lol. Kinda irritating that they ditched TfNSW branding and...

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery

Was curious, so I asked friends at uni a few days ago if they noticed the TfNSW blue bus livery being rolled out across Sydney and if so what they thought of it. Most agreed that it made the buses look "cleaner" (that's probably only because TfNSW buses tend to be newer, though) and more easily iden...

Re: Deckers on T80 and M92 and others

The T80 is much more suited to bendy buses, in my opinion. Maybe even trial some bi-articulated buses or upgrade it to a true BRT system. Double deckers aren't really appropriate for the M92 either, considering that it stops frequently with close proximity between stops. A better idea would be to in...

Re: Some new faces in SEQ.

Interesting how different operators apply the TransLink livery differently - has it never been standardised? Namely the fact that some operators place their logo onto the side of the bus in large font (Kangaroo Bus Lines, Mt Gravatt above) while others don't. There are also some minor differences in...

I think you may have missed the 887 from Campbelltown to Wollongong (which is considered a metropolitan Sydney route) as well as the 663 from Windsor to Wisemans Ferry.

Anyone have pictures of the new STA 14.5m Scania K310UB Bustech VSTs? I've never seen this bus, but according to Wikipedia and Fleetlists, they do exist.

"Set Down Only - Not Taking Passengers?"

I've always been curious about this - under what circumstances do drivers actually display this on the desto? The majority of time I see this the buses are clearly not full and are midway through their route, so it's not like they're terminating anytime soon. :? :?: :?:

If we expand the scope to the entire Opal region, then Dooralong Primary Club of Coastal Liner 12/13 takes the cake very easily.
