Re: STA m/o 1210 Mercedes-Benz O405NH
Lucky strike ScaniaGrenda. Indeed a significant member of the fleet having undergone the extra bracing on the front most side passenger window panes the rest would follow. You'd think it could have been figured out locally though, it's not rocket science. They must have been hoping the Germans woul...

Re: AIRPORT EXPRESS BUS
I have watched the Airport line pretty much from day one and I think there are broader things at play here - in the '00's there was no one at Mascot or Green Square stations - now they almost have a reverse peak - likewise there can be just as many people waiting for trains at the airport stations a...

Re: 2017-8 NSW State Budget - Buses
The lack of productivity of STA buses was one of the main reasons for the franchising of region 6 to Transit Systems.I would expect over time that TSA will improve the productivity, getting more trips per bus,per driving shift than currently.Thats also the reason for building the tramlines.Frankly S...

Re: Is the 400 Sydney's least reliable bus service ?
The bus stops at the airport would come under the control of the Airport Corp, which really doesn't want buses there at all. Wait till the new domestic "transport terminal" is finished to see how bad things will become. I don't think they're anti-bus considering the invested interest they...

Funny how the report seems to consider stops in a vacuum, e.g the stops they want to cull on Stoney Creek Rd - like other stops along there, just 492 stops converted across, much like the stops in New Illawarra Rd are a mix of STA school special stops and 446 stops mixed in together What's the data ...

Stu, Are there ever any reliefs on the 491? Back in the days of the 499 it used to be Oliver St Bexley North in amongst Gilchrist Park Used to be interesting when both directions were relieving since it would block the street Oh yeah back when Tempe was all bendy, they had a small fleet of red Hyund...

I don't believe anything has happened in Leichhardt yet, I recall seeing a flurry of laminated paper on affected bus stops, that disappeared after a few months with no change evident

Re: Blockades using buses
Bet they're regretting scrapping those APEC mk2 mercs now hehehe As to where to get buses on NYE? Often, especially where extra services are put on, buses get laid up, although it would seem on the the north, older buses were put out, however with the city ones, portions of the city get shut down pr...

Yes the track heads off into the facility on Moorebank Ave, if you check it out on google maps, you'll see some trees have grown up, to me that's a sign of minimal use
I guess if they needed to use it, they'd soon clear the line
