Re: Parramatta light rail
If this means Stage 2 is delayed rather than cancelled, it shouldn't be too bad since Metro West if a while away as well. The light rail won't really be useful until then, especially as a feeder.

Re: T3 from 2024
If they don't want to build six-tracks and don't want to send west of Parramatta services down the T2/T5, there's still one option. Send trains to turn around at Olympic Park, this will still force people to change at Westmead or Olympic Park (if they feel like it, will be helped if they build an en...

Re: T3 from 2024
It'll probably be too much of a hassle for some people, but I would imagine it might be faster to get to the CBD from Lidcombe by taking the Olympic Park shuttle and then transferring to the Metro West.

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7
410 should be a 10-minute frequency route Marsfield-Burwood. Split up the Burwood-Hurstville section and, dare I say, axe the 490 route while you're at it but extend the hours of 410 southern section and reallocate the 490s to 492.

Re: New bus network arising from CSELR (L2/L3) opening
But the question is still will it get down to the right side of 30? As you say.
And also, will they move from 8 mins to 7.5 mins frequencies to align with 15 minute frequencies that many buses run on for better interchange timing?

I've seen Chinese people TRANSFER from trains to buses in Sydney, so I don't know where that pointless diatribe comes from.

It's not every 60 minutes, it's bad phrasing. It's on the hour every 60 minutes.

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7
My point is, if I could traverse around Zurich/Switzerland last Christmas (a foreign speaking country which was very cold), I think Sydneysiders will be able to cope. Ditto for Toronto, a pioneer of the transfer based bus model. So much so Paul Mees wanted it for Melbourne. It's a successful model,...

Re: The death of Metrobus.
The Transdev Metrobus routes still end painfully early even though it's quite an important service now and there aren't alternatives. Should have hours extended to midnight across the entire length of all routes at least every half hour. With maybe a 15 minute service between Chester Hill-Parramatta...

Re: Jan 2021 bus changes - STA region 7
I reckon if I was in a position to sabotage the STA system, this is the path I’d take. So now with region 7 they continue this stupid habit of insisting that people interchange on many routes. I predict that in about 20 years time the NSW government if the day will come up with an amazing plan to l...

Re: CBD & South East Light Rail
Without being racist, a large portion of users on L2/L3 are Asian and are used to pushing the buttons, and probably everybody else just fell in line. Even now in manual mode, a lot of people still push the button out of force of habit. Which ever system is chosen, it needs to be consistent across t...

Ah, good ole unions. Let's have a snap strike. There are plenty of good reasons for them to be around, this isn't one of them, their insistence on guards working staying on the existing model, despite their conductor colleagues in V/Line doing perfectly fine working on a similar model to the one pro...

Re: December Bus Changes - Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore
Would be disappointing if it does terminate at Martin Place. Good to have a King St route which serves other parts of the city. Why not do it like the 320 shorts.
