T1027 spotted running down Moggil Road with a never-seen before "ON DIVERSION" desto. Yes, all caps.
It's kind of old news at this point, but I also saw T1908 on a 444 today. Kind of weird seeing T-owned B7RLEs when those are normally S.

S2054-2057 spotted parked at the Carina garage today. Most likely soon to be Carina vehicles.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
i think it look like now remaining MAN CNG at toowong (1202, 1267, 1268 and other 12x) is move to Garden city. I saw 1202 last night doing Garden City shift. Which mean that now Toowong official (Correct me if maybe there is still some MAN CNG still there) and also 1912-1919 Carina to Toowong.
I just wondering why does Toowong took some B7 from Carina not the B8 from Sherwood (That they use to have)?

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
T2848 was apparently in trouble on a small turnout at Gympie Road, Lutwyche; so much so that another bus driver apparently felt the need to act as traffic control on the busy Gympie Road. I wonder what had gone wrong.

Noticed 12 B8’s from Toowong were transferred to Eagle Farm today 2816-2828. Toowong also received 12 B7’s RLE’s from Carina/Sherwood 1911-1923. I assume to continue the transfer of gas MAN’s to garden city?
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
Lots of changes for BCC including 1229/1230/1231 being withdrawn, 1045 being refurbished and lots of transfers.

Given 1045 already has bench seats, what is said refurbishment? Is it 1030 style desto?
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
S2064-2066 spotted at Carina depot tonight. Looks like carina may be having all b7s from 2036-2071 eventually

Not sure the logic in retiring three buses without any replacements announced publicly, especially before Metro gets going (and even then, they could use the spares to improve the proposed service level more...).
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
They have been gone from service for at least a couple of years but never removed from the fleet list.

Yes I'd wondered if that might be the case. Cheers for the clarification.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
2899 - 29xx back to Toowong.
5080 - 5094 Willawong to Sherwood.
it look like maybe sherwood will pick up 130/140/150 (However we must see tomorrow is the bus move to sherwood because they will run 130/140/150 or not). TBH i hope not or they just run on peak hour. because in my opinion if sherwood recieve more Tags they better run their tags on Western suburb route like 444 and 412 or even Centenary route rather than add 140/130/150 which is far for dead running from Sherwood to Browns Plains.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
Given the fleet movements of late, I think it's a given Sherwood will run the 130, 140 and 150. Willawong cannot lose that many tags and keep running their share of trips - even yesterday several MAN rigids were observed on the 130, 140 and 150, which is quite abnormal, and would suggest quite a lot of tags were lost to Sherwood.
A few other points to note: there are a small number of short-working trips starting at Sunnybank Hills on the 130 which might end up being Sherwood trips to control dead running, 139s (which Sherwood does a lot of trips on) have no outbound services until 10:02am, which would allow a bus to easily run into the City and continue its day, and Sherwood are also a fair bit closer to the City (QSBS) than Willawong is to either the City or Browns Plains. So if Sherwood start and finish shifts in the City, it would actually be a reduction in dead running compared to a Willawong bus running to Browns Plains, then returning to the depot from Browns Plains at the end of the shift.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
Something a bit out of the ordinary since Sherwood received tags from W, and seemingly G, are a few more rigids appearing on the 130, 140 and 150 from both G and W. G artics have also been sighted on those, and several other BUZ services like the 180 and 222 throughout the week.
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
yeah i just realize that. I also realize that since then A lot of sherwood shift on western route is replace by toowong and non Tags route for Southern Route replace by G and W shift. Also i realize since mid last year, Route 66 tend to use more sherwood tags on weekend than their artic and it look like their artic not run on weekend.Merc1107 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 1:21 pm Something a bit out of the ordinary since Sherwood received tags from W, and seemingly G, are a few more rigids appearing75 on the 130, 140 and 150 from both G and W. speaking of TAGs at Sherwood what is the chance of this vehicle running on some western route (412, 430 and 444) (even for just one shift)
Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
I went to Chermside yesterday on the 340 and noticed that the Northern Transit way is now open from Kedron Brook to Rhode Road in each direction. The bus that I was on in each direction was using it.

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
I believe in November it was announced the Northern Transitway would terminate at Rode Rd and not continue to Hamilton Rd, so that is the... completed project

Re: Transport for Brisbane Observations 2024
Blue Citygliders have now been fitted out with the same PID’s featured on the City loop buses.
