Royal Australian Air Force-Transport

Post by RayW »

While not transport in the same sense as either trains or buses, the RAAF does provide a valuable transport sector on the Australian landscape as we have all witnessed during both the bush fire crisis and more recently the Covid pandemic. And for those who can recall, Air Force also filled in the gap during the airline crisis of the 80s.

All of the following photos have been supplied to me by our youngest daughter, currently serving at RAAF Richmond, the home of 37 Sqn (C-130J Hercules) and 35 Sqn (C-27 Spartan). The base regularly hosts visits from Amberly based C-17 Globemasters and USAF C-130s.
