Lewis quite a number of 600 series ex MTT AEC Regal IV's - there main modifications, from their time at the MTT, were removal of the rear door, building up the floor, obviously adding seats to that area, removing all destination displays, cutting up the front and rear of the bodies, for the road profiles around Para Hills etc. and a good repaint!

The buses were a great success - they had pre-selector gearboxes (with the same controls as London Transport RT's and RF's), the adjacent Slatterys had ex MTT 700 series with semi-auto Mono-control G/Boxes - we were jealous! Lewis had one only ex 800 Worldmaster and that was the absolute favourite.

The "LB" colour scheme of mine worked much better on these buses than their coaches!!
