Hi.

I was thinking of raising the roof on my leyland worldmaster does anyone know what the rules are in WA? do I need an engineer to sign it off?

also I was gonna try to get it licenced as a panel van just so I can use it and drive it to get work done for the conversion to a camper. any thoughts?????

You might want to read the book by Dave Galey book:
"The Bus Converter's Bible". It has a section on raising the roof.
https://www.amazon.com/Bus-Converters-B ... f_=asap_bc

And this one by Ben Rosander:

https://www.amazon.com/Select-Convert-Y ... 7/ref=oosr

I dont know where you can buy the books locally though.
There are bus conversion forums too so you might want to check those too.

Yes you need a modification plate for your roof raise, forget the code for it but mine is down as "cabin change"
It pays to shop around for"engineers", I know of people who have paid thousands just for a single mod plate, mine each cost me $250
If it doesnt have a full seperate rolling chassis make sure you block it under the middle.
Block the whole thing anyway, don't try and do a roof lift sitting on tyres. You need to get it level both ways before you start.
Having said that it is not as scary as the guys that want 40k to do one make out.
