Driver looks happy in pic 2! ^^
I can't wait until STA get some of these. But i think Ryde won't be a huge priority.
Might have to make a trip out to ride one!

Nice view. How do they sound belting down the M2?You could take a steering wheel and column with you and pretend you are driving it from the top!!

Re: CDC Deckers in service
Question, do these get a run on weekends? Im going to be in Sydney on 28th June -30th June and would love to set aside a couple of hours for a ride on the top deck.

Cool shots. I know that the Busways CDi has a ZF Ecolife. Does anyone know what transmission the other 7 (the five Hillsbus and 2 Forest CDi) have?

The only thing to distinguish them apart would be the rego's and their respective destination indicators - otherwise they are the same.
Admittedly having 8 deckers lined up would be impressive though!

Re: CDC Deckers in service
I bet that 610x was lightly loaded! (Aren't they supposed to run 10 mins apart as well??) Daniel's first pic reminds me of Hong Kong, the lone single decker amongst the double deckers
Time for a new signature!

All we need is the STA (Sydney buses) to get back on the DD bandwagon. At least the private operations are into the DD way of thinking.

Re: CDC Deckers in service
And my selection:
6090 arriving at the last bus stop on Windsor rd before turning onto the M2
6091 arriving at stand E at Railway Square with a CDC double deck ambassador (orange hi vis vest) walking up to get on the bus.
Double deck meets double deck.
6088 was on display at Castle Hill and this picture shows the CCTV of upstairs plus a LCD counter which CDC installed.
Tbe new double deck 6092 on its first service from the City passes under the old monorail soon to be on its last service. At Market and Clarence st.6090 arriving at the last bus stop on Windsor rd before turning onto the M2

Re: CDC Deckers in service
The CDC ones have ZF Ecolifes and the Forest ones are Allison. Also, the Forest ones are conventional hardwired and the CDC ones are Thoreb multiplexed. The other difference being the CDC ones have slightly less seats (92) for additional leg room.Mr OC Benz wrote:Cool shots. I know that the Busways CDi has a ZF Ecolife. Who knows what time these are in service because in the morning around 9-9:40 and in the afternoon between 4-4:45 I didn't see any of the five.
Re: CDC Deckers in service
I saw some at about 6pm yesterday.
