Seen at 4:55 pm Thursday Jan 3 at Cnr Janefield Drive/Plenty Road Bundoora, a Dysons livery bus (didn't get the number, sorry) operating route 570. This route is normally operated by East West Bus Company.

Yes Tony, this is an East West route... though if #478 is out of service, a Dysons livered bus is used.
Dysons only have the 1 East West branded bus.

I think what Matty must be saying is that #478 generally runs the 570 and if not available a Dyson's liveried bus runs the service. 570 is run out of Dyson's Bundoora depot. There is only eight buses in East West livery and the other seven would be at Reservoir and used on route 561. All other East West buses are in Smart bus livery, as far as I know.

Hello,

Reservoir Bus Company have taken delivery of 3 new arrivals today!
#785= 9269AO
#786= 9270AO
#787= 9271AO

*Make / model still to be obtained, and of course, all 3 are in the Dysons livery.
These buses are NOT in route service as yet.

Also noted this evening, was Dysons #9 (the historic bus), on tour at the Reservoir yard.

Unsure if this has been reported, apologies if it has, but Reservoir (10) is in Dysons livery, sighted at Reservoir station yesterday.

These were ordered before the takeover and should be Volvo B7RLEs.

Thanks for the update, and by the way, they are all Volvo B7RLE's that were originally built as stock units by Volgren for CMV Volvo, then later sold to Reservoir, but never delivered before the Dyson's takeover, from my information, unless someone else knows any different. Reading between the lines, I predict the Reservoir fleet at least will be re-numbered to Dyson's (736) to (784) which fits perfectly with the 49 vehicles in the fleet as of the takeover, then presumably the Midland & East West fleets will follow from (788) onwards. I presume nothing has happened yet???

No renumbering of the Reservoir fleet has occurred as yet... however, 2 minds think alike in regards to the numbering system ;)

Cheers.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to post such observations in these threads, as far as I am concerned that is just a routine fault and they will fix it as soon as possible.

To save others having to check the fleet lists, these are Reservoir #27 (Volvo B6) & Reservoir #25 (Volvo B10M MK4) - not sure what the third Volvo high floor is, as the wrong rego has been provided.

These hadn't been used on route service for some years now but were still used on local school runs that accepted myki.

Kind Regards

Craig :)

Can't say i'm a fan of the new Dysons fleet. I rode 732 on route 513 yesterday, and the seats were very hard and uncomfortable. Felt like i was sitting on plastic with thin material covering it.

Their spec is very nice, nice colour scheme etc but yes the seats are unacceptably hard.
