I like that they intend to use the weird lettering that the heritage platform signs use.

Wasn't there already a new entrance to Chalmers/Devonshire St only 5-10 years ago?

They're making trains like airplanes too -which will unfortunately serve Jetstar like passengers and worse.

With the first full six months of metro patronage now available, it looks like, at the same rate, annual patronage will be around 24 to 25 million.

I noticed that the public holiday timetable is basically the weekday one (including 4 minutes in peaks), it just finishes an hour earlier.

They still haven't resolved the grievance of the 10 minute headways starting at 0830.

Normally I take property puff pieces with a pinch of salt but this one has some figures. It's notable that the suburbs Chatswood to Epping already had a rail service but demand has grown nonetheless.

Interesting that the public holiday timetable is the same as the weekday one, in that public holidays get the peak period 4 minute frequency, but both Saturday & Sunday don't.

Are there any large universities nearby? Most, if not all, do not recognise state public holidays, which would make a service similar to the peak desirable on such days.

^It was my immediate gut instinct when I took my first ride on the metro to Castle Hill that this sort of thing would occur. I never expected Cherrybrook to be included though!

They better not build the connection to Schofields then or it will be even easier for them!

^ it'll be all over then, unless they have police officers with teeth on the services all day and night and we know the NSW track record on policing the trains.

How do they do that when Schofields is only a 2 platform station and next to no room to build anymore platforms if they take a platform away from the heavy rail double deck network then they would have to ether cut the Cumberland line back to Blacktown or make Richmond the full time T5 terminus

The metro will cross the Richmond line at 90 degrees on its way to Marsden Park. It will be either above or below with a separate but linked station.
