I see a lot of the Metrolink don't have the circles on the front. Is this now standard?

Yes. As is Waka Pacific without the big 'W', and Go West without the Gecko, the Tui or the Pohutukawa Leaf.

Because of the cost to replace the graphics everytime an AOA is taken off, window is broken, panel damaged or replaced, time required for the bus off the road to get the job done. It all costs money, something Infratil suddenly seem very concious too!
