WELL :shock: :shock: What a shock to see THIS on the Cruise Ship tours this morning :shock: Not long ago, sold for a motorhome, ex Cresswell Coaches #2 has been ressurrected by Sainty's Coaches (Launceston) Sounding just as sweet when at Cresswell's, it was a pleasure to see this old girl BACK IN SERVICE :wink:

Cant be many left in service anywhere is Aus now , nice silver one running around Sydney a few years ago , haven't seen it in a while think it was a private import from Japan.

This one which I photographed about 3 years ago, and have seen a couple of times since, but not recently.

Long wheelbase, high floor factory body IIRC. I think it was identified back then as being a Japanese import.

The Cresswell fleet list shows it as
2 BM 8481 Mercedes Benz O303 30120461023237 Ansair MB1363 06/1982 C44F
First reg 22/6/82.
Dereg 21/6/11 & Sold for a motorhome.
Cant find it in the Sainty fleet list as yet.

Yes Boronia that was the one , driver at the time had a lot of respect for it and loved it.

Still around although not as frequent a visitor to the Blue Mountains as it once was. Still a nice unit with centre door on the wrong side - I assume immobilised.
Think for yourself, while it's still legal !

Certainly is - the ex Australian Pacific 0303/Ansair that I steered years ago had that wheel.

A lot of high deck coaches of that era had off-side centre doors. Was handy around the CBD when we had to load/drop off in one way streets.

A few of the 303/3 Ansairs also had a middle door on the off side.
