We had a minute's silence at school, but at 10:15 instead of 11. I was a bit outraged, but luckily my teacher at 11 made us have minute's silence as well. However, The Last Post was not played at any stage, which is a bit off I think. Without the soldiers that fought for our country it is likely that we wouldn't be able to sit here today and not remember their sacrifice. This will be the Age of Entitlement at it's worst...

When I was at work at Jesters pies, we didn't have a minute silence. I found that it would be quite disrespectful not to have a pause. In fact, Remembrance Day should be a public holiday across australia

Heh... 11 was during recess so we had our minute of silence at 11:11 (11:10 was the end of recess )
I'd post any important, bus-related links I had, but they're outdated anyways.

Was at The Star Casino in Sydney, had the last post, minute silence and the national anthem. All staff and players stood up, gaming was stop for the minute. Well done to them, dealers, supervisors and everyone else stood still for a minute.

I pull the bus over and force my passengers to a minute silence. I don't know what I would do if some ---- broke it. It has yet to come to that...

(maybe that's why I do PM shifts)

because as a ex vietran went to a dawn service & was on my way to get kemo from my war service!......................some country towns also have a dawn service like our town............I ALLREADY did my bit for my country & am paying for it 50 years and latter! :cry:I also find your coment offensive who gave you the right to question me why I WAS AT A SHOPPING CENTRE. MAYBE I should've went to a shopping centre 50 years ago & you wouldn't be enjoying the benefits that others gave their lives for!
