Photo of Damler motor home?

Post by Fleet Lists »

Received from Locoles
Mobile home parked in the Glenelg parking area at end of Anzac Highway in the mid nineteen nineties. It carried West Australian plate 7HE344 and looked like it was doing a round Australia trip. WA plates indicate where the vehicle is registered so I wonder what clue can be gained from 'HE' [7HE-344] to track it's original origin (Port Hedland?), would it be an ex Sydney or Newcastle Daimler CVG6 perhaps?
Any additional information would be welcome.

In WA there is two types of registration plate.
7HE344 is a state issue plate.
The other is shire issue.
For example -
Port Hedland - PH
Broome - BM
Bunbury - BY
Busselton - BSN
Their are many others.
The curse of all Coach Captains is the dreaded ARB's. (see if you can work out what ARB stands for)
