Steam, Diesel and Electrics - Memories

Continuing my 'memories' series mainly around Perth, this rail post includes some museum visits photographed during several holidays in Western Australia between 1968 and 1997.
In 1968 my interests were mainly buses as seen in the previous post but I managed to capture on film one of the Craven built suburban DMUs also one of each of the later ComEng and Goninan sets during a further visit. The new EMUs entering service were an attraction in the 90s and the Hotham Valley steam specials operating the service to Gosnells Railway Market coincided with a Perth visit. Hope these bring back some memories for fellow enthusiasts. :mrgreen:

The Prospector trains were photographed at Merredin, a 3-car set heading to Perth and 2-car set to Kalgoorlie.

Gosnells Squash Centre...I remember going past that on a regular basis on the train. Was only torn down about 10 years ago...open to correction!

I remember it well to next to the original Gosnells station South of Dorothy Street
You can take the boy out of Armadale W.A but you cant take Armadale out of the boy!!!
