They built only a few as coaches, not urban buses. The lack of success might have had something to do with poor riding qualities in the trailer. As can be seen travel between the prime mover and trailer sections can only be accomplished on the top deck. Not a pretty bus, but interesting nevertheless - this is an official Neoplan photo.

What year was this built, 1976? It screams mid 70s sometime.

Neoplan Jumbocruiser were produced between 1976-1992.There was one Jumbocruiser getting around Germany as a ambulance.

I wonder how a Jumbocruiser go here in Australia doing interstate services.

I am not sure when it was built, but it is a fairly early one - probably mid-late 70's is a good estimation

Briscoe's Volvo artic wasn't too popular when they used it on interstate work.

No, it didn't ride that well and that as the major problem with it, we put it on the Murtons Adelaide to Broken Hill run, but passengers were not keen on it.

Jumbocruisers had access over the motor, via a stair case and walk way through the turntable area
If it's not a ZF, take it back!

That Prevost would be ideal for charter and actual bus services.
