Brisbane's Model Buses

Post by Mick.Brisbane »

Hi all,

By now some of you are aware that I (with a former business partner), started up a new model bus business.

I currently have two versions of the Leyland Panther available. They are under construction, and are due for completion and dispatch very shortly.

These are limited edition collectors items, with 150 of each being made. you can find more information at http://facebook.com/brisbanesmodelbuses

This is what they look like:

Very shortly I will be launching the Volgren Optimus in Brisbane Transport livery. After the Optimus, I have two interstate models, going ahead. One in Western Australia, and one (two liveries) in Victoria.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, or come and join us at http://facebook.com/brisbanesmodelbuses

**** LEYLAND PANTHER DELIVERY ****

For those who have prepaid for the two Leyland Panther variants, these will start shipping very shortly. All buses are now finished, and are undergoing their first quality check, at the warehouse.

Once completed, these will be sent to my office in Victoria, for final quality check. Following that, I hope the postie has had his Weet Bix.

THE WAIT IS OVER!

Hi all,

I've updated the website with two Transperth Volgren Optimus models. The Optimus range will be a big one.

Route and fleet numbers will be decided byou followers on our Facebook page, and in the forum here.

So far I have QLD and WA designs confirmed, with QLD models already on 'soft launch'.

Any questions, please ask.

Good afternoon all,

Quite a few people have placed an order for the Leyland Panther bus, and have not paid. If you have been sent an account, this needs to be fixed up as soon as possible.

The buses are now with customs in Sydney, awaiting distribution.

If you are wishing to buy, please make payment or orders ASAP.

How long will you hold onto those not yet paid for before terminating the order and re offering them for sale to those who may have missed out?

Any orange Panthers being released in future?
What about Volvo and MAN versions of that bodyshell?
You will have at least 3 sales with me.

Hi,

Seeing how you've made a Volgren Optimus, (which I will have to track down eventually) as a suggestion for a future model, would you do a Brisbane Transport Volvo B12BLE 14.5m 3-Axle Euro 5 Volgren CR228L or a Scania variant? Also, as another suggestion, maybe a Logan City Transit or a Surfside Buslines Volvo B7RLE Bustech VST. I must say though, very impressed with the Leyland Panther!

Sorry, forgot to ask, your models are 1:76 Scale (H0 Scale), correct? (My apologies if someone has already asked or mentioned this)

HO scale is actually 1:87; OO is 1:76. A possible confusion can be that both run on the same track. In the UK; OO is more popular while in Australia HO is.

is h.o popular in railway models in oz, or is it a case of 1.76 as the road transport being the popular road models....Oxford has done several Oz and NZ models, these are 1.76......
