PMC-Adelaide High Deck/Super High Decks.
I started this topic on one of the most recognised high deck coaches in Australia were the coaches built by PMC-Adelaide.There was the usual high deck Apollo coach,I think it was 3.6 m high. There were various versions built on Volvo,Scania,Mercedes 0303(there were 2 whilst I was working there.).Then there were the Super High Decker versions with the downstairs driver compartment and bunk, downstairs toilet. These were 3.8 metres high."Sunliner" bought several for their services. The Mercedes version had the Mercedes front cut off,it was at the Bus Show.Out of the 2,one was very straight the other wasnt.Where are those coaches now?
This topic is for all high deck coaches built by PMC-Adelaide.You are all welcome to post anything of interest relating to these coach models.

Re: PMC-Adelaide High Deck/Super High Decks.
The last one in the photos above was HOBART COACHES, which became TigerLINE. HC brought 2 x Hi-Decks, 1 with NS middle door.
The 1st photograph, we can see BOTH the Hi-Decks together #36 & #46 BOTH Scania K112TR / PMC Apollo Hi-Deck
HOBART COACHES / TigerLINE #36 - Photos show coach in it's original livery, and NEW livery when HC changed their name to TigerLINE.
The second unit (without NS middle door) #46 - again in original livery and newer TigerLINE livery
#46

Re: PMC-Adelaide High Deck/Super High Decks.
Not my pic, but I drove this coach on it's first trip after delivery.
Scania K113TR 360HP 10 speed Scania 'Box.
It was an express run from Adelaide to Melbourne for Trans City in 1988.
Laid over in Melbourne for a day and the ran back to Adelaide. I only had 3 pax on board and they got off in Horsham. (Ran back empty the rest of the way).
