MBL: Timetable reprints

Postby Craig » Sat Dec 24, 2005 7:12 pm

Dear All

This afternoon, at Sunshine Station, I picked up a reprinted copy of the Route 216/219 timetable, still dated January 24 2005. It remains in Melbourne Bus Link Format.

The reprint can easily be spotted by the fact it now shows "Caroline Springs to Brighton and Sunshine Park to Gardenvale" in the vertical purple bar on the front cover, as per the 600/922/923 TT.

Inside, the route descriptions have been updated, with the Melton South section of the Saturday PM 216 extension now omitted.

In addition, some errors on the route map have been corrected, such as the zone 1/2 overlap on Route 216.

Kind Regards

Craig :)

Picked up from Met Shop today (Dec. 30th).

Route No.

220 Sunshine - Gardenvale &
223/215/218 Yarraville - Highpoint - Caroline Springs
same as routes 216/219 bus timetables. Still Dated 24th January, 2005.

One spelling Mistake on route 220 bus timetables. The timetable date says "Janurarary 24th 2005. It's should read January 24th, 2005.

And

Route 600/922/923 St Kilda - Southland bus timetable also reprinted same as routes 216/219. This time, timetable dated January 24th, 2005.

Regards

Bradley.

Melbourne bus link has reprinted all their timtables. The Effective date is 1 October 2006 for all routes expcet 600,922,923 which are 19 June 2006.

Thier is some minnor changes in the 600,922,923 timetable.Mostly during school times.the most big change wouled that the3.26 from bay and new streets now leaves 3.36.and the 3.42 from bay and new streets now sartes from sandringham at 3.55pm.There is all so a error in the 600,922,923.it show all the time after 6.07 to last bus from st.killda tiwce.

Thier is all so some changes in 232 with the pick up/setdown places which now covers the whole route .

In all timtable it has the wrong phone number for melbourne bus link.and under customers please note it now say. That all pets must travel in a suitable container

Is it still in the old (non-Metlink) format?

I find some errors in the timetables.

216/219 show no trips from 10.04am to 12.16pm from brigton beach/gardenvale to sunshine park/caroine springs on weekdays.

223 on saturdays after the 2.25pm show a trip leaveing 12.06am which is the last trip.

232.does not show the 2.21 trip from north altona on weekdays.

On a quick lunchtime trip from the City to Footscray today I picked up the new timetables in Metlink format for 216/219 & 215/218/223 dated 1 October 2006, despite the printing errors reported by Redhood, but was given the old timetables for 220, 232 & 600/922/923.

I got the impression that the 'hook' may have been applied to the new timetables because of the errors, and was actually surprised to be given the two I did get.

The reason you got the old timetables for some of them is because they whant to use they old stock frist.

Dear All

Some more errors:
The 216/9 Sunday timetable towards Brighton Beach/Gardenvale omits the Brighton Beach timepoint.

The 215/8/23 & 216/9 timetables have various headings "Caroline Springs to Sunshine"

The 216/9 map makes the 216 appear to normally terminate at Deer Park West, and the route headings suggest both routes still serve both Brighton & Gardenvale

The 232 map still shows Spencer St station.

Kind Regards

While the phone number shown on the Metlink timetables (9362 8600) is different one that they previously publicised and shown in the WhitePages (9689 8555), it still puts you through to Melbourne Bus Link, as I tried yesterday.

Some of the ones that Redhood and myself have found however aren't exactly small mistakes!

Dear All

Received in the mail today was a reprinted 600/922/923 timetable. It's still dated 19 June 2006, but in small print on rear it reads "V.1.1 - 02.2007".

The previously mentioned errors have been corrected.

Kind Regards

I got that timetable as well (not through the mail)

There are a number of spelling errors in the route map, and St. Kilda Station is shown with a train connection!

For anyone who is after a copy of the latest 216/219 reprint that was reported by Redhood on Monday, the ticket office at Sunshine station has a good supply :)

600/922/923 has been reprinted Metlink DL Format.
its still dated 19 June 2006.
on the back it say V.1.1 - 08.2007.

there’s still mistakes in it.
a few trips are not listed.
and does not list the 3.36pm weekday trip from bay & new street as a school day only trip

i'll get this mistakes fixed in next reprint

Do MBL actually have somebody in their scheduling team that prove reads timetables before they go to print? coz generally before timetables get printed the company is given 1 copy to give the ok to go to print. This allows any mistakes that are found to be rectified. Id say by reading the above nobody has prove read them before going to print
