"Trux" Domino and Austral Tourmasters.

I started a post on Athol Hedges to Austral Denning.That topic is very popular,one of my most popular topics.
"Trux" models have made various buses and coach models including the Denning's so I think we need to encourage them to start making a variety of Domino and Austral Tourmasters,etc.If we can convince that company there is enough demand they'll make them.This is where we all get involved.Its no use just hoping it gets done,that doesnt achieve anything.We need to use this forum to find out how many of you would buy them and then tell them so they know there's a demand for those models.

I just sent the company an email to tell them about this post and this forum.Thats a good start.Lets see what happens from there.Now they know.There's no excuses anymore.They know about us,we know about them.Bring everyone together.We need the numbers now.If you would be interested in buying a "Trux" Domino and Austral Tourmaster and other models from Domino and Austral now's your chance.
Firstly,how many of you would like to buy them? What liveries should they use? What coach companies would be best? For example:
Premier Roadlines,
Stateliner,
Greyhound,
Ansett Pioneer,(red,white and blue livery)does anyone have photos?)
Deluxe Coachlines,
Across Australia Coachlines,
Chalmers Coaches,
Adelaide-Mount Gambier,
EET,etc.
You can add to the list here.

If you know anyone who is interested in collecting Domino and Austral Tourmasters "Trux" models then spread the word to help the demand.

You are welcome to add photos of your favourite Tourmaster photos here if you'd like to see "Trux" make them in those liveries.If you would be interested in these models being made,please join in.

We can inspire them.They need us otherwise they wont survive.We're doing them a favour.This is where the bus industry ,enthusiasts and collectors hang out.This is where they get their business from.

But the realities of cost, especially in the setting up phases, can be horrendous. It takes a long time to recoup the investment, let alone make a modest profit.

...PS - I am quite sure it is me driving Contiki (Deluxe) No. 41 on a check ride with 'Eric'?? - (Senior Driver - Brisbane 1987)!...and being a "naughty Driver" and not entering the far right yellow lined access area (required if entering/exiting from the southern entrance on departures from Roma Street... (one of Freddy Carah's 0303's loitering in the background too ...vale Fred!...always remembered!

Trux also need to market in USA / Japan / Europe, as this is where most of the tourists that travelled on the ubiquitus 'Tourmaster' came from in the 70s - 80s and I am sure such people would be interested in a liveried replica of their 'stage coach' that bore them around 'the great southern land' at that time (hell...if these were around at that time, they would have made a fortune selling them to the coach companies and thence to the tourists that boarded them

I think if you just send them an email ,you're likely to get their attention.

Where did the name "Tourmaster come from? They could have come up with "ExpressMaster" or IntercityMaster" too.

I think the idea of a book should be a collaboration.The story needs needs to be told even if its in in photos and some text.The topic of the company has been popular.I'd buy the book if there is one.The main thing is to tell everyone here about it and get the word out that a book should be done.If there's enough deman it should be a good start.
