Re: BT Fleet Changes
1011 to at least 1014 are all now at Richlands.
Re: BT Fleet Changes
It looks as though 322-326 are back on Virginia runs but no depot identifier on the buses to confirm.

Re: BT Fleet Changes
Wonder how many more Metro's will come to Virginia?
Re: BT Fleet Changes
Hopefully not many more - there are too many old buses there already. The average age of buses just gets worse and worse.JC72 wrote:Wonder how many more Metro's will come to Virginia?
I think it is a great pity that 2000-series buses are now being transferred to southside depots (2001-2004 gone back to S) rather than keep them on the northside.
Re: BT Fleet Changes
Lets just hope Virginia gets some new buses this year.

Re: BT Fleet Changes
Well Bowen Hills is still getting new B7s, and I think Toowong may be due to get some too.daveeyh wrote:Hopefully not many more - there are too many old buses there already. The average age of buses just gets worse and worse.JC72 wrote:Wonder how many more Metro's will come to Virginia?

Re: BT Fleet Changes
I do not think B7 Volvo's will come to Virginia it maybe who ever wins the next fleet of buses.
Re: BT Fleet Changes
1019 is now at Richlands with every fleet number containing the letter R.
Re: BT Fleet Changes
Best hope for the northside might be the new Eagle Farm depot rather than hoping for new buses at Virginia.JC72 wrote:I do not think B7 Volvo's will come to Virginia it maybe who ever wins the next fleet of buses.
Re: BT Fleet Changes
At the end of the day the fleet movements are cyclical. Virginia was taking the Scanias new once upon a time.
By mid year the high floor buses will be retired and the low floors will need to be redistributed in some way.

How are they planning to replace 120-odd buses in 4 months at current delivery rates? (I sincerely doubt they will reach their original target of 1,600 buses by 2016, that has probably gone by the wayside.)
Most of the upcoming route changes and improvements will result in basically the same fleet usage overall, just redeployed more effectively, so that will off-set the need for fleet growth for a bit. The only region which appears to need more buses than present after the network review will be the Gold Coast.

Re: BT Fleet Changes
1021 has been transferred to R - I am not sure where 1022, 1023 and 1024 are at this stage (could be all at A) but 1025 is still at A.
Also 1357 is back at G, I believe 1358 may be there also but confirmation would be good.

Re: BT Fleet Changes
1357-1360 have moved from W to G
675 has moved from V to G
1310-1313 have moved from G to T
Sounds like a bit of a fleet shuffle is happening
