Old M.A.N spotted.....

Post by lunchbox »

I assume it's ex ACTION, Canberra. It seems pretty complete, including inflated tyres and desto roll. It's within 10km of Sydney GPO. For your information.

It deserved to be preserved - though if it came to the vote certain WA members would have voted against it because it was a "one off".

I would have thought that would have been the main reason TO PRESERVE IT. So RARE :!:

Not necessarily - paint (graffiti) is only superficial. Paint stripper, graffiti remover etc could work wonders.
What is important is what condition is it in under the skin???

Thank you all. I had no idea this vehicle was so unique. Yes, still on Cockatoo. But I'm intrigued by the truncated desto, which appears to read "Ironla...".

It was most recently owned by Royce Driver Training Homebush Bay, is the bus me and many other board members got their licence in, the body looked fairly terrible mainly cause all the panels were rivetted on, however it was fairly straight. They sold the bus and it was used as part of some art display on Cockatoo Island and they now have a Mk4 in it's place, of which a fellow board member was getting his licence in today whilst making fat look good

Ironlak is a company that sells spray cans which seems to be aimed at grafitti vandals.. Which sucks... (And no I'm no grafitti artist)
