Hobart's Trolleybus system operated from October 29 1935 and closed on November 24 1968, they had 68 buses in total and operated the following routes
Hobart's trolleybus routes were as follows:

Hobart–Huon 20 October 1935 to 22 November 1968
Hobart–New Town 14 October 1935 to sometime in 1939 when the line was extended as
New Town–Cornelian Bay 1939 to 30 March 1959
Hobart–Cascades 24 July 1942 to 11 OCtober 1948 when the line was extended as
Cascades–Strickland Avenue 11 October 1948 to 22 November 1968
Hobart–Dynnyrne 4 June 1945 to 22 November 1968
Hobart–Sandy Bay 7 December 1952 to 11 October 1968
Hobart–West Hobart 23 February 1958 to 23 August 1959
THe depot was at Davey St and they operated with a maximum of 69 buses over a total of 17.75 miles 28.57km

Hobart–Huon 20 October 1935 to 22 November 1968

Save that #235 and #230 operated for just under 2 hours on the afternoon of Sunday 24 November 1968 from the City to Huon Rd to farewell the trolleys. The Huon Road route thus had the honour of being the first route to have trolleybuses, and also the last . . .
