As somebody already eluded to....it looks just like the other CR228L buses, albeit with a Scania badge.

Hi there,

Does ATDB have a ready reserve/rail replacement list for Grenda's?

There's 2 seperate fleets within - the nominated Rail Buses kept at Moorabbin were:- 42,47,48,55 & 70
The Grenda Transit Management reserve fleet includes(these have GTM fleet numbers above the door and are painted white)
16,18,20,54,66,68, 176 & 241, 242, 243 & 244, but most of the buses withdrawn and stored at Moorabbin can be put into service if required.
Also at Moorabbin and recently used on weekend replacements and emergency call outs were:- 3, 38, 79, 83 & 84

Desto Dave may be able to confirm this listing.
yolo seems to be a bit of a trend!

Yes, the same livery will be rolled out across all of the Ventura depots, but the ones going to the Grenda side will be Volvo B7RLE's as pictured above, the ones going to the Ventura/National side are Scania K280UB's.

Just photographed Moorabbin/Ventura 680. Appears to have LED driving lights under the regular headlights. First Volgren CR228L I've seen with these.

It seems as Moorabhin Transit don't do allocated runs anymore. Currently sitting in M570 to Parkmore, the 3:20pm Keysborough ex Moorabbin (normally operated by M594 for the past 13 months) while M569 did the ex Westall to Moorabbin  (I've never seen 569 on 824s) although, I may be wrong. I stand corrected :)

Saw this at Southland today, presumably these LED daytime running lights stay on all the time and go out when the headlights are on as I have seen with Linfox trucks.

CDC in NSW has CR228L's with daytime running lights.

The buses were ordered by Grenda and would have been signed off before the takeover happened meaning any changes would have been expensive to change.
There is no way forward if it isn't a Scania

I have seen a photo of a new Volvo with "Oakleigh" on it, so either some of the Grenda ordered buses are going to Ventura or it is an error by Volgren.

Yes but they are of a different type and mounted in a different location.

Mercedes wrote:The buses were ordered by Grenda and would have been signed off before the takeover happened meaning any changes would have been expensive to change.

Which I suppose explains why they also have the pov drivers seat and manual mirrors as well.

grenda should get their buses upgraded like the ventura ones. for example: electric mirrors, tinted windows etc.

Well they may start receiving new buses with those features now that they are under Ventura, commencing with the next order of course, not the existing one.
