Could there be an air curtain or are those vents opposite the stairs something related to a/c? I guess it;s not a big issue for cooling, maybe only for heating? (hot air rising afterall)

There is a air curtain come out from the side of the stairs, that connected up with offside passengers air vent

City sightseeing must be impressed with that mechanical package. Must be able to take a beating going by how some of the drivers treat the MCWs.

.. Yeah thanks Daniel .. just having a stir .. ... You know I feel partly responsible for these fantastic new buses, as I filled in several 'Feedback' forms online complaining about the age of the current fleet ... .. PS when can we expect to see these buses out an about .. ??

Adding the upper deck glass and roof will add extra weight and as a result the seating capacity will need to be reduced. As it stands it is already sitting right on the maximum allowable weight.

Havent had mutch time on line lately and until I sample the buses in full operation I have nothing to say. All I can say is they are a pleasure to drive but will take someewhat getting use to as I have never had the use of a reversing camera before. The buses arrived at the depot and have not left since as they need to be fitted out so the only driving done so far is in the depot.

As for anyone thinking they are partialy responsible for these new buses, well thats a laugh as fleet upgrade has been on the cards for a while butr as with any company it happens when the resources are right.

As for the age of the current fleet, the MCW;s are fine and do the job well.

In the 3rd pic (of the stairwell), what are the two holes on the bottom couple of steps Is that to drain away any excess water fom the lower deck if it's raining heavily

I would assume that these holes are to drain water from the upper deck and the steps. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.
