And some new H sets are already much better in terms of seating.
I travelled on the 8.42pm Civic to Gosford service on 2K, mate it is definitely a torture!
Though 2Ks are definitely faster than 4K and 8Ks, there's no headrest and even worse, there are no toilets on board for an hour trip!
Also for a train that runs at a high speed at 125 km/h I believe it is dangerous for any passengers to across to another carriage which is not fully enclosed. It is a safety thing and I will definitely support H sets to immedaitely replace K Sets on Newcastle - Gosford service.
Is this now regular? Possibly saw a 4 car K-Set in place of a few 2 car K-Set services.
Also the other day the 16:08 (or 16:06?) Newcastle - Gosford K-Set was over 20 minutes late. Wonder why.
And on that note, information suggests that an Oscar set is to replace a K-Set and do some of the Newcastle Suburban Morisset runs. So "downgrading" the service again - with rocks for seats, oh wait rocks are more comfortable to sit on!
I am sure that K to H is an upgrade not a downgrade. Because:
1. We have seats with headrests
2. We have toilets on the train
3. We have fully enclosed passageway between carriages
4. We have CCTVs on the Lower Hunter Line, upgrading safety standards for passengers.
5. We have trains that is wheelchair friendly.
