Nice. Unusual placing of that apostrophe.

Correct placement of the apostrophe, as the world doesn't own the fastest bus.greenman wrote:Nice. Unusual placing of that apostrophe.

If we're (we are) going to correct grammar, then every thread would be bogged down in English lessons!
But now I'm (I am) on a roll, alias is right; if the apostrophe was "world's" it's (it is) effectively cutting down "world is" which doesn't (does not) make sense in this contect, in the way "that's" is short for "that is", etc.
Btw, pet hate on forums is reading "would of", might of, etc. It's (it is) would've, short for "would have", might've, might have.
Nice sticker, btw!

Off topic, but mine is excessive use of exclamation mark's [sic]! Some people go wild with them! Using them instead of a full stop! I know some people get a bit excited on these fora, but really, there [sic] excessive use of exclamation mark's [sic] makes me want to throw things at the screen!Busman wrote:If we're (we are) going to correct grammar, then every thread would be bogged down in English lessons!

Re: Adelaide O-Bahn commemorative sticker
i love the logo of the obahn. i wish it was used more often, same with the circle line logo. these logos were created in STA even MTT days im gathering?
Re: Adelaide O-Bahn commemorative sticker
Wrong. Possessive case doesn't just include legal ownership. The usage here is incorrect - it should either be "WORLD'S", or "WORLDS" if you want to be more politically-correct.alias wrote:Correct placement of the apostrophe, as the world doesn't own the fastest bus.
If people are going to correct grammar, they can at least be right...
