Hi there, I thought I'd start a thread where you can post photos of your model collection.

I'll start it off with some photos my dad has taken of a very small part of our collection.

Very impressive Boronia, I wish I had some sort of good cabinet so that I could put my models on display, they're packed in boxes making the wardrobe look full...

I got these "compartment" style cabinets from Ikea, and bought glass shelves cut to size from local glass shop.

Only problem is you should still keep the original boxes.

Also you buy a cabinet to put models in, find you have spare space, so you buy more models. Soon you need another cabinet.....very addictive hobby

No Sydney buses at this stage (apart from the explorer) Im not as interested in the OZBUS range, compared to TRUX because of the price difference.

Boronia, that looks like a single deck Routemaster.
Busman444, I've compared the current TG & Trux, and while it is a huge price difference, I think TG seem to be more accurate. But the Trux latest goverment single deckers, have quite a few preventable errors. (as opposed to compropises (spell ?) due to the scale). The Trux model looks more like a rush job, and more toy-like. Not saying though that the Trux model that I've seen is not a bad model.

Newcastle Flyer, that IS a single deck Routemaster.

The top deck of RM1368 was severely damaged in a fire, so the works rebuilt it as a s/d. Although it retained the seats it ws only used for development trials.

The model was released by EFE late last year.

Okay, it was a bit hard to see earlier, as the public computer stretches the screen, and they claim they can't fix it. All their got to do, is adjust the resolution.

Love that Trailways GM New Look you've got there as well as those Trailways (old look??) buses at the top. Is the New Look a a larger scale model? I recall seeing larger highly detailed Corgi New Look models on display at hobbyco in Sydney.
Now wishing I could now get one!
Who wants me to post my entire (good bad as well as ugly!) collection in different states of body condition?

It's the CORGI American Bus collection. They mainly consisted of the 1954 Scenicruiser, Fishbowls from various operators, Flxible Clippers (Harrisburg, Greyhound & King Ward BL) and early City buses. Lot better detail than the 1:76 scale models by EFE/Trax and such.

From America. VERY expensive. I was lucky to get the building WITH postage for $140, however normally the sellers (eBay) want $120 JUST FOR DELIVERY, making the item over $200. On eBay at the moment, there are some SMALLER terminals in HO or N scale for about $30ea + postage. This one is lighted
