7366 has always belonged to HillsbusOLYMPIAN wrote:A late start for Private in March

What you probably mean is that yes, it is now assigned to Foundry Rd depot along with it's older sister 200. The 'Charterplus' labels have been replaced by 'Hillsbus', but it is still accredited to Northmead depot !!

Yellow direction arrows have been installed in anticipation of the 602 service starting shortly. Not too hard a run though, without only 2 turns for the whole trip !!!!

Most probably is operating an NCT Tours run, on behalf of Nowra Coaches.
Re: Private Operator Observations - March 2012
I don't get why they keep returning these two vehicles to route service, when they have 100 other 14.5m buses which can carry standees. Surely 200 and 7366 must be a pain the bum for drivers who continually have to stand up and count how many empty seats so as to decide how many passengers they should allow to board. You can't just allow people to pour on until they're standing up to the front and 'that'll do' and drive off. They would be much better suited to charter work.doug c wrote: 7366 has always belonged to Hillsbus

Private Operator Observations - March 2012
Gerringong buses has bought a double-decker, no idea of what it is or where it's from as it was in the depot on Friday but left to do the surf camp charter and then was parked too far away for me to catch the plates. Any ideas?
Explain your reasoning for putting the slowest, worst bus on the longest route. Surely it'd be more efficient to have a newer one. Where's my 8 speed M.A.N?
Re: Private Operator Observations - March 2012
Oxley Explorer recently sold a Denning ex-Firefly?
Re: Private Operator Observations - March 2012
Possibly ex The Oxley Explorer, as AL suggested, or ex Hopkinson's. A registration will clear it up.moto51 wrote:Gerringong buses has bought a double-decker, no idea of what it is or where it's from as it was in the depot on Friday but left to do the surf camp charter and then was parked too far away for me to catch the plates. Yes, noted previously in the fleet changes section. This bus was completely re-skinned, hence the differences in paneling.OLYMPIAN wrote:Veolia ex Transit First/Westway O405/CC510, #145, painted in TNSW livery anf converted to roundarches

Is the Premier bus a government funded bus? If so why would it be allocated to Charter for such a long period?

That explains why I saw the same bus running near Hoppers Crossing last Nov/Dec.....Daniel wrote:Most probably is operating an NCT Tours run, on behalf of Nowra Coaches.

I don't know if that is Government Funded but these non-Wheelchair assessible buses only does School Runs and operate as CityRail buses.THE INFORMANT wrote:Is the Premier bus a government funded bus? If so why would it be allocated to Charter for such a long period?
So if they are not getting charactered to NCT Tours they will be only idling at the depot all the time.
Re: Private Operator Observations - March 2012
The first of many new buses in the Transport NSW livery have arrived at CDC Foundry RD. These + a couple borrowed from Northmead will spring into action next Monday on the new 602 services.
