Busways/peninsula BL/Bris. water coaches pmc commuters

Post by paulbrown3 »

Something to mention about the pmc 160 commuters that Busways/peninsula bus lines/Brisbane water coaches had.

The units that had a/c were I think b57f due to a decent sized luggage space inside the bus on the door side at the front.

An example is Busways fleet 436 MO1745

These buses also at a stage had air con
404-416 PMC
417-423 Custom coaches
424-425 Custom coaches and 428 newham
184-88 Custom coaches
432-437 PMC

These are just scanias and a Ex Bus driver from Wyong busways was telling me about how buses use to have A/C then he sed speak to another driver who was at Bisbane waters He soughta sed something simlier about 404-416

I dont know if the above numbers are right, there the numbers i was told and i grew up with when peninsula PMC scanias were fading out Expect 405 412

They are disposals. Some of the vehicles mentioned are not SE2 bodies. Some of the air conditioned units were B61F. It was not to do with internal spacing. The SE2s were B61F and the earlier body styles B57F.

Read my updated post :)
The numbers i was explained about were spercific CentralCoast units eg 405 412 437 436 PMC bodies and a few customs i remember 437 before it went to as listed as withdrawn from Grafton i was 4 or 5 going to erina with my aunty but i remember the Black fleet number an the green black and yellow stripes of the bus :) so that would of been 2000 when i last saw 437 i also remember majority of PMC when i was young were all in Peninsula livery until 2002 :)

Both 436 and 437 were sold to Brim's as spares about 3 years ago they both had de-comisioned a/c and did not have the busways stipes and were all white.

Busways/peninsula bus lines/Brisbane water coaches pmc 160's

The 61 seaters were sans a/c ie no air con which I can remember when catching these buses were bloody hot in summer. Also note that the 61 seaters were original Brisbane water coaches and the peninsula were the 57 seaters.
